What Matters Most

FACT: 50 years after you die, no one will remember you.

So why obsess with that person that left that nasty comment on your
post?
Why be agitated by that officemate that gossips about you?
Why even give time thinking about whether people like you or not?
Why even give energy to your hurt feeling because someone didn't
thank you for your help?
In the end, only two great things matter (according to Jesus):
Love God.
Love your neighbor.
That's it.
Everything else will vanish.
So, have a love-filled Feast!
May your dreams come true,

Talk 4: Reaching Out 2gether
“Love is patient, love is kind.” (1 Corinthians 13:4)
“Let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it
by our actions.” (1 John 3:18)
“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But
when I grew up, I put away childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave
thanks and he broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to set
before the people. He also divided the two fish among them and they all ate
and they were all satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of
broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of men who had eaten was
about five thousand.” (Mark 6:41-44)
“You give them something to eat.” (Mark 6:37)
“How many loaves do you have? … Go and see.” (Mark 6:38)
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
“Then Jesus directed the disciples to have all of the people sit down in
groups… of hundreds and fifties.” (Mark 6:39-40)
“God will give you so much, so that you can give away much, and when we
take your gifts to those who need them they will break out into thanksgiving
and praise to God for your help.” (2 Corinthians 9:11)
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it
says.” (James 1:22)
Personal Reflection and Group Sharing:
1. Who are the hungry people you need to feed in your community?
2. What talent do you have that you’ll offer to God so it makes a
difference in your community, in your city, and in the world?
It’s All I’ve Got
I had insecurities.
Even in serving God.
One day, He assigned me to do a challenging mission. I said, “Lord,
I’m not very talented. Other people are better at doing this work. Why me?”
In my mind, He said, “Oh, they’re too busy. Besides, you’re available.
I know you’ll say yes.”
Me: “But these are the only talents you gave. So, I have nothing else
to offer.”
Lord: “That’s okay. In your weakness, I’ll be your strength.”
Me: “Okay. If you say so.”
Yup. That’s how simple my conversation with Him was.
Friend, just give what you have to Jesus. He will take care of the rest.
Be joyful always,
Edward Marcel
