PERFORMANCE INTERIOR SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS
8
The Freelander 2 enjoys exceptional performance no matter what powertrain is utilised, with two-
turbocharged diesel power units available. Improved fuel consumption and low CO² emissions are
now enjoyed across the range.
12
Freelander 2 naturally accommodates five adults with ease. Everyone benefits from generous leg, head
and shoulder room. They can all enjoy the view too as the rear passengers sit in Stadium Seating that
is 50mm higher than those in the front. Added to which, the loadspace is as generous as it is versatile.
The vehicle’s Command Driving Position greatly improves the view of the road ahead and provides
better visibility of the vehicle’s corners. The seats are optimised for comfort and support with a range of
adjustments proving invaluable on those longer journeys.
15
If you want to get closer to the music, you’ll love the sound system in the Freelander 2. There are three to choose from
including the Meridian™ System with 17 speakers and a thundering 825W of power. This system features a virtual CD
player which allows up to ten uncompressed albums to be stored on the hard drive. Naturally, MP3 connectivity comes
as standard. A rear view camera is also available which displays images from behind the vehicle on the centre console
screen, helping you to park and manoeuvre more easily.
16
With a raft of sophisticated safety systems, the Freelander 2 has been built to take almost anything life throws
at it. Firstly, its strong mococoque body and inner body cell, both of which are protected by crumple zones, are
designed to absorb energy on impact.
Then, high-strength steel has been used in the build of the body and dual-phase steel is found in key
components such as the front windscreen pillars and lower side sills. Such technologies help to create a first
class safety cell providing remarkable protection.
