thorize expenditures for the conduct of certain water
conservation measures in the Great Salt Lake basin,
and for other purposes.

1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Great Salt Lake Stew-

5 ardship Act’’.

1 SEC. 2. WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES IN THE GREAT

2 SALT LAKE BASIN.

3 Title II of the Central Utah Project Completion Act

4 (Public Law 102–575; 106 Stat. 4605) is amended by
5 adding at the end the following:
6 ‘‘SEC. 213. WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES IN THE

7 GREAT SALT LAKE BASIN.

8 ‘‘(a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary may use any un-

9 expended budget authority provided under subsections
10 (a)(2) and (c) of section 202 for the conduct of water con-
11 servation measures within the Great Salt Lake basin in
12 accordance with section 207.
13 ‘‘(b) COMPLIANCE WITH DEFINITE PLAN REPORT.—
14 Any water conservation measure conducted under sub-
15 section (a) shall be considered to be compliant with the
16 Definite Plan Report completed under section 205(a).’’.
