A good education is a foundation for a better future.

It is
indeed my great pleasure to be with you today for I am giving
my State of the School Address.

May I start with student development where our school

has a total enrollment of 166. We are very much lucky
because some of our students who joined the district palaro
went through out the provincial level and they were Anthony
M. Fronton Jr. and Shiela May B. Dalupang.

In Journalism contest District level, on Feature Writing

– English category, Rhoyale James V. Daracan garnered 3rd
runner up, Cristel D. Montoya was awarded 5th runner up in
sports writing Filipino category while Micaella G. Balanay
also awarded as 3rd runner up in sports writing English
category. In invitation making contest, where Shaine L.
Tolento bagged the championship and represented our district
in the area level at San Mateo North District . In the District
Festival of Talents, Krista G. Marquez got 4th place in fruit
curving while our dancers was awarded as fourth placer,
while our contestants in singing garnered as 2nd place.

In staff development, we are very much lucky because

we were given additional staff, our administrative officer
Mrs Helerie Cacal who will do the administrative function
since Vice president and Deped secretary Sarah Duterte
implied her MATATAG Agenda which is to give support to
teachers to teach better, meaning to focus on teaching.

In the curriculum development, the teachers adopt the

GADGET. Upon hearing the word, my teachers were excited
because they thought that they will receive a gadget for them
to use but unluckily this gadget is different. It is a Generative
Assessment Data Gathering Electronic Tool. It is use
purposively to analyze the results of the administered the
quarterly test, to provide baseline data on learner’s
performance in all learning areas which are necessary in
designing intervention and remediation programs. In this tool,
teachers can identify the least mastered competencies and
guide teachers in improving test items. This proves that
teachers really the jack of all trades, kung ano ang ipagawa ni
DEPED, si teacher sunod lang nang sunod.

Teachers also conducted the pre-test in Early Grade

Reading Assessment for Grades 1 and 2 Filipino and it has
been validated remember when the group of validators headed
by our School’s District Supervisor Elvie D. Guillermo. They
found out that the pretest conducted was accurate since
teachers did not sanitize the result, kapag hindi
makabasa, hindi talaga I check ang result. After pretest had
been validated here comes the post evaluation and as a result
in grade one from 10 non-readers out of 20 (52.63) becomes
0 non-readers while in grade 2 out of 13( 54.16%) non-
reader, now becomes 8%.

After EGRA, here comes again the CRLA, the

Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment designed to help
teachers quickly determine the reading profiles of grades 1 to
3 pupils. The results showed that incoming Grade 1 pupils,
with 20 enrollees, 56% are full refresher, 0% are moderate
refresher, 44% light refresher, and 0 % grade ready.

The incoming grade 2 with an enrollees of 20, result

showed 10% were full refresher, 5% full refresher, 35% light
refresher.

For incoming Grade 3, the grade 2 adviser conducted 3

sets of reading materials one for English,Filipino and Mother
Tongue and the results was in MT and Filipino, 36% were
full refresher, 8% light refresher, and 56% Grade 1 ready. In
English, it turns out to 52% moderate refresher, 20% light
refresher, and 28% Grade 1 ready. Comparing the grade ready
in English and Filipino, theres a 28% difference to cope up in
English CRLA.
For grades 4 to 6, pre-test in English were conducted
and based from the table interpreted by the Reading
Coordinator Mrs. Julieta A. Bulan, Master Teacher-2, she
concluded that in grade 4 and five class, there are 3 and 5 non-
readers respectively. The Post-test results showed that in
grade 4 and 5 class, there were non-decoders already.
Comparing the pre-test and post-test, the grade 4 pupils
frustration readers decreased to 23.81%. Instructional readers
increase to 29.53% and independent readers increased to
14.28%. Comparing the pre-test and post-test result in grade
5, the frustration readers decreased to 18.18%, Instructional
readers increased to 13.64%. Independent readers still 0%.
Comparing the pre-test and post-test results in grade 6, the
Frustration readers decreased to 35.71%, Instructional readers
increased to 14.28% and independent readers increased to
21.43%.

In Phil-Iri, Filipino pre-test results showed that there are

9 decoders while 4, 5, and 6, there were none. The post-test
results showed that in grade 3 class, there were non-decoders
already comparing the frustrations in the pre and post still the
same as 47.62% but there is a big increased in the
instructional level, in the pre-test 9.52% while in the post-test
52.38%. There is an increased of 42.86%. Comparing the pre-
test and post-test, the grade 4 pupils frustration readers
decreased to 24.44%. Instructional readers increased to 2.22%
and Independent readers increased to 22.22%. Comparing the
Pre-test and Post-test results in Grade 5, the Frustration
readers decreased to 16.58%, Instructional readers increases
to 16.58%. Independent readers still 0%. Comparing the Pre-
test and Post-test results in Grade 6, the Frustration readers
increased to 29.43%, Instructional readers decreased to
11.26%, and Independent readers is 0%.

One of my physical goal here is to put up an entrance

gate for us to have a landmark of our school and we are
very much lucky because one of our stakeholders through
Nellyn D. Morong who donated 15,000, our Honorable
Sangguniang Bayan Rolando D. Cabasag with 5,000 and
Imee Cabasag amounting to 5,000. These accumulated funds
was not enough for us to finance the propose project so we
conducted a festival and we earned 84,623.00. To sum up,
we accumulated 109,623 pesos from donations and proceeds
from festival. The expenses are as follows:
Accomodations during the coronation night= 32,000.00

Materials/labor for gate = 78,264.00

111,194.00 (deficit)

The proposed project was unfinished.

We conducted School- Based Scouting and planned to

raised fund for our program. I then assigned every teacher to
have a candidate for Mr. GSP and Miss GSP. This is just a
simple celebration for scouting for our pupils to experience it
but during the canvassing time, we were amazed of the big
proceeds amounting to 102,792.00. During the presentation of
Star, Kab, GSP and BSP palabas, Mrs Ilyn D. Valera handed
us 5,000 pesos and we add this to our proceeds. By this time
our proposed unfinished entrance gate came into reality. The
following were the expenses:

coronation night --------------------- 36,399.00

materials for gate/labor-------------- 46,081.00

82,480.00

Total Proceeds---------107,792.00

Total Expenses ---------- 82,480.00

Cashon hand------------------ 25,312.00

We now proceed to canteen fund. The accumulated
funds in canteen was 28,168.00 less total expenses of
27,212.00, the remaining fund is 926.00. The funds were used
whenever there are visitors who came in monitoring our
school, fare of pupils during district palaro, purchased dry
seal and kitchen utensils, registrations in journalism, and
others.
