FINISHED PRODUCT

1. ABBREVIATIONS:
FP: Finished Product
QC: Quality Control
SOP: Standard Operating Procedure
FIFO: First in first out
2. PURPOSE:
To lay down the procedure for receipt, storage and release of the finished product
at Rehobot Millennium Flour Factory
3. SCOPE:
This standard operating procedure is applicable for all finished products
manufactured at Rehobot Millennium Flour Factory
4. RESPONSIBILITY:
Quality manager
Production manager
Packing supervisor
Warehouse supervisor
5. PROCEDURE:
5.1. Receipt:
 Packing supervisor shall transfer finished product to finished product warehouse
along with finished product transfer intimation.
 Warehouse supervisor shall check each bag for details like product name,
manufacturing date, expire date, quantity, storage condition etc…
 Acknowledge the Finished product transfer intimation and retain original copies
for records and handover duplicate copy to packing supervisor.
 Verify the quantity of product in the loose case against the finished product
transfer intimation

 In case any discrepancy observed in the apparent finished product or in the


document finished product transfer note, immediately intimate to you quality and
production department manager.
 Ensure the transfer of finished product is done the presence of ware house
assistant
 Transfer the finished goods to finished product storage room of warehouse and
stack its respective location.
5.2. Storage:
 Ensure the finished product are stored under required storage condition
 Ensure that the environmental condition are maintained
 Ensure finished product are stored product wise so as to avoided the chance of
mix-ups and for easy retrieval
 The pallet containing finished products should be stacked and well segregated
from the other products
 All finished product received from shall be kept in quarantine area until tested and
passed by QC department.
5.3. Dispatch:
 Warehouse personnel shall verify the customer purchase order/delivery order. and
cheek the availability of the required quantity of the finished product for dispatch.
 Warehouse personnel shall the product is released by quality assurance.
 Issuing of finished product must be done on the order following the first out basis
(FIFO)
 Prepare the invoice and other statutory documents if any.
 After completion of all the dispatch security personnel shall release the vehicle
 supervise the loading activities in the presence of security personnel
 Post the transaction in finished product records obtain the signature of warehouse
in charge checklist for compliance and archive along with records in the
warehouse.

5. RECORD

Received, stored and handled and dispatched finished product data records should be
kept in quality department & respective department managers’ office for a minimum of
one year.
