雨潇介绍学马来语的原因:Oh! Malaysia also has many Muslims. Islam is the state religion of
Malaysia. I study Malay. Malay is the official language of Malaysia. Well, I choose this major
mainly because I’m kind of interested in Malaysian culture. Since a long time before, I’m curious
about this beautiful South-east Asian country. So I want to learn Malay to know more about this
country.

马来语的特征+口误,引入英语话题:To be honest, Malay is not difficult to learn. The Malay

language uses the Latin alphabet as English. And we don’t have to pay much attention to the
tense. Like, we don’t change the do to does or did… Anyway, saya berasa…. OH! SORRY! I just say
Malay words….(laugh…) I must admit that I often confuse English with Malay. How can I do???
(雨乐和紫琼分享自己的建议)
Oh, I see… That’s perfect! I’ll try to practice what you say. Thx!!

Well, for me I think I’ve become more confident and willing to express myself in front of people.
You know, learning a foreign language requires speaking and repeating. Actually I was afraid to
speak at first. For example, the pronunciation ‘r’. At first I was afraid to pronounce it to anyone
because I didn’t say it well, but later I realized that most of us cannot pronounce this perfectly in
the beginning. Thus, gradually I was willing to practice, to pronounce it in class. After a hundred
times of practice, I feel I’ve conquer my fear step by step. I was also trained to become more
confident about handling other difficult things. (So I think learning language really changes me a
lot.)
