UNIT DESCRIPTION/ OBJECTIVES OF THE UNIT

The aim of this course is to introduce learners the basics of accounting, understanding of different
accounts and report accounting information in line with accepted accounting practices.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES


By the end of the unit the student should be able to:
1. Be able to explain the accounting system and accounting equation
2. Understand accounting concepts
3. Be able to prepare basic accounting statements
