How to change DNS Records with the Zone Editor

These instructions will guide you through viewing or changing your DNS records through the Zone
Editor.

The method to access the Zone Editor may vary depending on the services you have with WHC:

 I have an Hosting Service or email

 I have a Domain Name only (not connected to a WHC hosting service)

 I have a Reseller Account

 I have a Dedicated or Cloud Server

If You Have a Hosting or Email Service with WHC

Accessing DNS Records

1. Sign into the WHC Client Area

2. Click on Services

3. Click on your Web Hosting service

4. Go to your cPanel account

5. Once inside cPanel, scroll down to Zone Editor, in the domain section, or type zone
editor into the search bar. Open Zone Editor

6. Find the domain you wish to modify and click Manage

7. The screen you see will look something like this.

If You Have a Registered Domain with WHC That Is Not Hosted with Us (or at all)

Accessing DNS Records


1. Sign into the WHC Client Area

2. Click on Domains

3. Click on the domain you wish to work on

4. Go to Advanced DNS Manager on the left sidebar


5. Activate the Free Domain Manager Basic (or Domain Manager PRO if you require more
control)

6. Click on Launch Domain Manager

7. Once inside cPanel, scroll down to Zone Editor, in the domain section, or type zone
editor into the search bar. Open Zone Editor

8. Find the domain you wish to modify and click Manage

9. The screen you see will look something like this.


If You Have a Reseller Account with WHC

Accessing DNS Records

1. Sign into the WHC Client Area

2. Click on Services

3. Click on your Reseller Hosting account

To modify DNS on your reseller account's primary domain

1. Go to Launch cPanel if you wish to modify the zones for the reseller account

2. Once inside cPanel, scroll down to Zone Editor, in the domain section, or type zone
editor into the search bar. Open Zone Editor

3. Find the domain you wish to modify and click Manage


4. The screen you see will look something like this.

To modify the DNS records of a client's domain


1. Go to Launch Web Host Manager (WHM) (you may need to enter your WHM
Username and Password)

2. Once inside type Zone into the search bar. Open Edit DNS Zone

3. Find the domain you wish to modify and click Edit


4. Make the changes required in the Edit DNS Zone screen and click Save

If You Have a Cloud or Dedicated Server with WHC


Accessing DNS Records

1. Sign into the WHC Client Area

2. Click on Services

3. Click on your Dedicated or Cloud service

4. Go to Launch Web Host Manager and enter your WHM Username and Password


5. Once inside type Zone into the search bar. Open Edit DNS Zone

6. Find the domain you wish to modify and click Edit

7. Make the changes you require on the Edit DNS Zone screen then click Save

8. The changes made should propagate within a few hours.
