1.3 Decimals and percentages

To convert a decimal to a percentage, multiply by 100%.


To do this, move the decimal point two places to the right.

Examples

Convert 0.3 to a percentage. Change 0.345 to a percentage.


0.3 × 100% = 30% 0.345 × 100% = 34.5%
