2. Full vaccination is not a requirement for staying in the dormitory, but the dormitory
admin team HIGHLY recommends all applicants get vaccinated for the sake of safety for
all.
Note 4. Your dormitory application will be REJECTED if you do not have a contact information
(phone # in Korea) by the time you check in, and until you check out. Thus, be sure to
have the Korean USIM card and Korean mobile phone number when you check in. Kindly
understand this measure will be in effect to better communicate with international students
for COVID-19 related information.
[Application]
- The log-in to the dormitory application will be ONLY AVAILABLE exactly during the
application date & time stated above.
*Note: Login trial before the application period will lead
to the following error message. But If the same problem
is caused after the application period starts, you might
have put the wrong ID or password. In this case, please
contact OIA (ericaincoming@hanyang.ac.kr) right away
- If rooms are already full on the day when you are applying, do NOT panic. The dorm
admin team will open extra rooms the day after at 11:00 during application period, so
please try again in the next day. If it happens on the deadline, please contact OIA right
away.
- If you wish to stay with your preferred roommate, please select the SAME building and
the SAME room. But if you have your wish roommate after you complete the room
selection, please contact the dormitory team directly.

- Note you CANNOT freely change the room selection after you submit the application.
- Your room selection CAN be changed upon the dormitory admin team’s arrangement
later.
[Payment]
- Dormitory fee differs upon the building type and duration of stay.
- Payment in installments are not allowed, only payment at once are available.
- Those who needs payment receipt can receive it from dormitory administrative team in
Changeigwan (2nd floor) after your arrival.
[Refund]
- ‘The refund before check-in’ is as follows:
1) 100% will be refunded if requested to OIA by Aug 6(Sun)
2) 90% will be refunded if requested to OIA from Aug 7(Mon) to 15(Tue)
*Email to OIA (ericaincoming@hanyang.ac.kr) for refund request.
- Regarding ‘all the refund after check-in’ (for example, due to early departure, or
stay period change from “semester+vacation” to “semester” only), kindly consult with
the dormitory admin team after arrival.
- The refund request made before the semester starts will be processed within as late as
within September 2023.
[Others]
- Access to all the dormitory facilities can be highly LIMITED upon the on-campus policy
against the COVID-19 (As of now, only communal kitchen is unavailable)
- You can use the fridge in your room, but the capacity should not exceed 50L. And you
can choose to buy or borrow the fridge. If you are borrowing, you can apply to borrow one
from the rental company located in the dormitory, and receive it once the semester starts.
For the details, please kindly consult with the dormitory directly after your arrival.
- If you tested positive after check-in, you will be moved to the emergency room on the 18th
floor of Changeui building. Once you get confirmed, contact the dormitory admin team
right away and follow the next steps.
1) Call to inform the dormitory admin team (Female students living in Changeui: +82-
(0)31-400-4378; Male students living in Changeui: +82-(0)31-400-4379; Male students
living in Injae: +82-(0)31-400-4380)
2) Search and add the HYU ERICA dormitory channel on the KakaoTalk mobile
application: Click the “Friends” tab (person icon) on the left bottom → Click finder icon →
Copy and paste “한양대학교 ERICA 창의인재원” and click “Add Channel” icon.
3) In case that you tested positive to the COVID-19, refer to the instructions as follows:

Housing Online Application
1. Visit Hanyang ERICA Housing Online Application Website (https://bit.ly/3a3UW9H)
Note: You can use Chrome, or Microsoft Edge browsers.
Note: Hanyang’s system is normally set on Korean mode. Please change your language setting before
beginning the application process. On the right bottom, click “English/ Chinese” to change.
3. Log-in
- ID: Email address you used for online application for HYU exchange/visiting program
Note: If you are already attending Hanyang as an exchange/visiting student, you need to directly ask the
dormitory admin team regarding application.
- You can find Collection and Utilization of Personal Agreement (English, Chinese) when you log in.
Hanyang dormitory admin office is required to obtain the user’s consent to collect and use personal
information for the ordinary personal administration and various services for the students. The
agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions for such activities.
- At the bottom of the contract page, there is a checkbox to agree or disagree. You can go on to next page
only when you click to “Agree” on the terms of the contract and click “Next”.

- The message confirming your building selection will appear. Click “Selection Submission” button.
8. Selection of Floor
- Building and Room Type that you chose in the previous stage will be shown.
- When you choose the floor you want to stay, you can see available rooms.
- Each room shows its vacancy and after choosing a room you can choose a bed.
1) Room: If you choose twin-type room with 1 vacancy, it means other student also chose the same
room. In this case, you can see the student’s brief information (e.g. college, admission year…)
2) Bed: After choosing your bed, click on “Select Bed”.
- Once pop-up for confirming your bed selection appears, click “확인” button and another
confirmation message will be shown.
- After Clicking “OK” on the confirmation message, you will be able to see the pop-up which mentions
“Check payment” but you are not able to check your payment information until the payment period
starts.
Housing Fee Payment
1. During payment period stated above, go to the program application webpage and login with your email
address and password used for application. *Please use Chrome browser
2. The “Dormitory Fee” is the on-campus housing fee, and the “Transferred Amount (or Total Amount
Paid)” is the exact amount arrived in Hanyang’s bank account. Confirm again if your housing fee is
correct, and click “Overseas Payment” button.
3. Change the language setting on the right top → Confirm the housing fee → Click “NEXT”
3. The Flywire, a payment platform, will send you an automatic email, which you can track your
payment from. The payment made by every Thursday by 23:59pm in Singapore Time will be
delivered to Hanyang, and shown in the application webpage by next Wednesday 17:00pm.
Kakao Talk Account Creation & ERICA OIA Channel
KakaoTalk is the most popular instant message mobile application in Korea. For the better and faster
communication with the Office of International Affairs (OIA), please follow the instruction.
① Download the application from the Play store (Android Phone users) or the App store (iPhone users).
② Create your own account.
③ Create Kakao ID: Click your profile on the top of “Friends” menu → Choose "Edit profile" → Choose
"Create Kakao ID" by entering a combination of 4-15 alphabetic letters and numbers.
