CK24 Mark and Release of Product Cost Estimate

Purpose
This transaction is used to mark and display cost estimate for one or more materials.

Prerequisites
 Cost estimates without errors have been created and saved.

Menu Path
To go to the Price Update: Mark Standard Price screen, use the following menu path:
 Accounting è Controlling è Product Cost Controlling è Product Cost
Planning è Material Costing è Price Update

Work Instructions
In the Price Update : Mark Standard Price screen

1. Enter the Posting Period , Fiscal Year , Company Code, Plant and Material

To view whether marking is allowed for the posting period, Click on

The Price Update : Organizational Measure screen displays the Company Codes and the Posting
Period for which the marking is allowed.

Allowed for the period

Marking not allowed for the period

If marking is allowed for the period, proceed to Step 3.

If marking is not allowed for a company code, then select the company code by clicking on it. The
following screen will appear.

Update the following Required, Optional, and Conditional fields, as needed:

Costing Variant R Enter the costing variant
Costing Version R Enter 1

2. Click [Save] to save the marking allowance

3. Click [Exit] to return to the Price Update : Mark Standard Price screen

Update the following Required, Optional, and Conditional fields, as needed:

Company Code R Enter Company Code ‘1000’
Plant R Enter the plant for which the material price has to
be marked and released
Material R Enter the material. If there are more than one
material to be marked, then select the “multiple
selection’ icon and enter the list of materials.
Test Run R Check the box. The results are not updated.
With List Output R Check the box for displaying the list of materials
which have been marked
Background Processing O Select the processing mode – background or
foreground

4. Press [Execute]

The screen displays the number of messages and the message text.

5. Click [Exit] to go to the screen showing the list of materials whose prices have been
marked

6. Click [Exit to return to the screen] Price Update : Mark Standard Price

7. Deselect the test run and execute.

8. Click [Exit to return to the screen].

9. Press [Execute] or [F8]. Follow steps 5, 6, 7 and 8
