High‐Fidelity Simulation and Nursing Students’ Anxiety and Self‐Confidence: A

Systematic Review
This study was conducted by Leodoro Labrague, Denise Petitte and Bowling in 2018. This paper has
reviewed a large bulge of article from 2007 to 2017 on the topic of the influence of HFS on students’
self-confidence and anxiety. The paper starts with the explanation of HFS as and it defined it refers to
computer-based simulations that accurately represent real-world scenarios and systems, with a high
degree of accuracy and detail. High-fidelity simulation continues to be a powerful simulation
modality when used in conjunction with other instructional pedagogies. Moreover, high-fidelity
simulation (HFS) has been demonstrated to be a successful learning tool through empirical research. In
their research paper the researchers have used a strategy known as PICOT method (population,
intervention, comparison, outcome, and time-frame), the key question which they have answered in
their paper is Does HFS experiences reduce anxiety and enhance self ‐ confidence among nursing
students while they are performing nursing skills or managing patients? The results which they have
found are Despite some evidence supporting the effectiveness of HFS as a teaching tool, there are
some inherent methodological limitations that should be taken into account when interpreting the
results of the current review. These limitations include the lack of randomization, a lack of statistical
power, inadequate variance estimates in the outcomes, the presence of selection bias, and the absence
of a control group. This could jeopardize the validity, dependability, and reliability of our review
findings. The relevance of HFS in boosting nursing students' confidence is highlighted by the present
findings, which significantly support those of earlier studies about simulation. HFS is one of the best
ways to enhance students' experiences given the limitations and restricted experiences that clinical
sites can now offer. However, it is important for nursing schools that they should make sure that the
faculty are adequate and provided with relevant simulation training to support the needs of the nursing
students.

Evaluating the Effectiveness of Mandala Coloring on Mental Health in Iran: A
Systematic Review
The study was conducted by Mahsa Hosseini and Zahra Borzabadi in 2022. This study seeks to
systematically assess the effectiveness of mandala coloring as a complementary treatment for mental
disorders. Although mandala coloring is a form of art therapy that has been shown to positively
impact various aspects of mental health, it has not received much attention as a preventative or
curative measure for mental illnesses. By evaluating its efficacy, this study aims to promote the use of
mandala coloring as a viable option for preventing and treating mental disorders. The authors
consulted various articles evaluated and examined PubMed, web of Science, Scopus and Google
Scholar databases to access English articles. After the completion of the research it was found that the
effectiveness of mandala coloring on mental health is very limited in Iran. However, given the
positive effects of mandala coloring demonstrated in domestic and foreign studies, as well as its low
cost and accessibility, it is recommended as a complementary therapy for treating various mental
disorders and stressors. It is also suggested for use in preventing anxiety and promoting calm in
diverse groups, including schools, universities, and governmental organizations, across different age
and gender demographics.
