DEEP DIVE: ABAP CODE
A transition to S/4 mandates changes to the ABAP code. HAWKEYE will
identify code that must be modified as well as ABAP objects that can
be optimized.

FAQ

How long does it take to do the assessment?

The scan is automatic, can be done in any ECC environment and takes a few hours to run. Results
are usually available on an interactive dashboard in a few days.

Do we have to upgrade ECC or install any S-Notes?

No. The scan will operate in any 7.0+ version. RFC authorization to get ST03 data from production will
also be required to assess the level of use of the custom code.

Do you extract our source code?

No, we only need technical meta-data about your custom code to build our model.

How can we estimate the effort from this scan?

The HAWKEYE S/4 Factory team will work with you to explain the results, and help you determine the
effort needed for the transformation. In general, you can assume that our automation can perform at a
rate of 7,000 violations per day.

What is the typical level of automation?

To date, with around 20+ scans, we usually identify 70 – 80% of the issues to be automatically fixed
with HAWKEYE.
