1.1 Background:
The Earth Rangers Centre for Sustainable Technology is located on the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s Living City Campus at
Kortright in Vaughan, ON.
It was constructed in 2004 as the base of operations for Earth Rangers, a children-oriented conservation organization. The building is a showcase
for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water conservation technologies and practices. In 2012, the Centre achieved LEED® Platinum for
Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED® EB) Certification and is presently the highest rated LEED® EB certified building in
Canada.
Clearness and effectiveness of the report- Use of appropriate language, clarity, conciseness, appropriateness of terminology, use of tables,
diagrams, images, proper referencing, etc.
As current Students of Construction Management Program, you belong to a very diverse Group of professional who have graduated from different
field of studies in different Universities with its own Cultural and technological background.
It is expected that each of you, with reference to your expertise, shows interest in topics that is familiar for you but it is strongly recommended to
review all Systems, Materials and Details to be able to step out of your Comfort-Zone and learn about new topic, which you are interested in to
explore in more detail, rather than a topic that you have already been familiar with.
Earth Rangers Center for Sustainable Technology, on its Website, had categorized 8 main systems and 25 sub-divisions, which you can choose
any of them for further investigation and study.
General structure of your report could be same as your Final Assignment but to present your study and research, you can express your personality
and illustrate method of presentation. Feel free to use any additional Images, Diagrams, Statistics and videos that you found on other websites as
well.
