are allowed. All the connection that could not be easily revised shall be
aluminothermically welded. For measurement purposes the connections between the
buried and the aerial earthing grids will be disconnectable type.
Clamps will be used for aerial joints between the earthing cables and equipment or
structures instead of aluminothermic welding. Aluminothermic welding for aerial
joints will be used if required.

accordance with the purchase conditions. Three phases will be distinguished in the
test of the installation:
• Factory acceptance tests (FAT).
• Site acceptance tests (SAT).
• Testing and start-up of the installation.
As a part of the engineering documentation, the type tests, routine tests and factory
acceptance tests to be performed in the original manufacturer factory before the
final package and transportation of the equipment shall be included as well as the
site acceptance tests to be performed after the final installation on site.

voltage of 2000V to the Control and auxiliary circuits, except for electronic
circuits).
• Measurement of insulation resistance, after the above test.

• Measurement of output voltage tolerance.
• Electrical test to verify output values under different load conditions, and
the correct operation of all control, interlock, signalling and protection circuits.
• Checking that the voltage at the output of the charger or battery does not
vary for the specified supply voltage limits.
• Checking the same, for load variance from 0 to 100%.
• Checking of the battery charge. When battery will not be available this test
could be performed as a functional test using other battery with the
authorization of Client.
• Battery discharge test at the contractual values.
• Measurement of the current harmonics content at the input.
• Full load test (until the stabilization of the temperature, for at least 8 hours).
• Performance test
• Battery cells capacity tests at the battery manufacturer workshops.
• In the event that it is not possible to carry out the discharge and autonomy
time battery tests at the charger manufacturer's workshops, with authorization
from Client these shall be done on site, with all expenses incurred to be met by
the supplier.
Type Tests
The equipment manufacturer shall deliver a copy of the certificates for type tests
carried out on prototypes of systems similar to or resembling those of the order.
It shall also comply with "EN 62053-21", "EN 62053-22", "EN 62053-23".
15.2.1.9 Protection relays
The tests will be carried out in accordance with an Inspection Point Programme (IPP)
sent with the offer as an integral part of the Quality Control Plan and approved by
Client beforehand. The protections must be subjected to the following tests and checks
in the factory, without limitation:
General operation (verification of compliance with functional characteristics).
Insulation measurement between circuits and ground and between independent
circuits (according to IEC 60255-27).
Voltage impulses according to IEC 60255-27.
Common mode and differential mode disturbances of 1 MHz according to IEC
60255-26, Class III.
Quick transient disturbances according to IEC 60255-26, Class IV.
Electrostatic discharges according to IEC 60255-26, Class III.
Interference and ripple in the power supply according to IEC 60255-26.
Radiated and conducted electromagnetic emissions according to EN 55011 (IEC
61000-4-6).
Radiated fields immunity according to IEC 60255-151.
