REACH Compliance
Electro Industries/GaugeTech is a supplier of “articles” as defined in REACH. The “substances” contained
in the articles are not intentionally released, nor do the articles contain any of the substances on the
updated SVHC Candidate List of 211 substances published in accordance with Article 59 (10) of REACH
regulation on January 19, 2021 1 and meets the acceptable limit of < 0.1% content by weight:
Electro Industries/GaugeTech supports the basic aim of REACH in improving the protection of human
health and environment through the better and earlier identification of intrinsic properties of chemical
substances 2. REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is a European
Union Commission (EUC) Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006) entered into force
in June 2007 and phased-in in 2018 3. More information can be obtained at REACH | Internal Market,

Electro Industries/GaugeTech complies with all applicable REACH requirements and is committed to
provide our customers with information about substances in its products as required. A list of compliant
“articles” is available in the Table below.

RoHS 3 (EU Directive 2015/863 Compliance)

The RoHS 3 Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (currently in effect) on the
restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE)
became effective on July 22, 2019 4. This directive adds four new restrictive substances, expanding the
list to ten restrictive substances, which are also on the REACH list of Substances of Very High Concern
(SVHC).

RoHS Compliant means that the substances restricted by the EU Directive 2015/863 and subsequent
amendments of the European Parliament are not contained in a finished product above threshold limits
stated in the Directive unless the restrictive substance is subject of an exemption contained in the RoHS
Directive.
Once the Directive is fully implemented, products may have “CE” marking in an effort to consolidate
marking requirements as mandated by the European Parliament. CE marked products mean that it
complies with the RoHS Directive and other applicable directives, these will be listed in our products
manual.
Electro Industries/GaugeTech hereby declares that all Products listed in the following table are in
compliant with the current Directive.
