Questions
1. Please explain about past tense based on book: simple past, past continuous, past
perfect.
2. Write 5 sentences by your own words using past simple
3. Write 50 words about your own memory

Answers

1. -SIMPLE PAST: We use the past simple to talk about events that happened before
the present moment. These must be finished events or actions and we often say
when they happened, though we don’t have to. The structure of this tense is:
subject + past simple.

-PAST CONTINUOUS: The structure of the past continuous is subject + was/were

+verb-ing. Let's look at three ways we can use this tense:

 To say what was happening at a specific moment in the past

 To give background information about something
 To say an ongoing action was interrupted by another action. In this case, it’s
usually paired with a clause in the past simple.

-PAST PERFECT: used to speak about events that happened before another event or
up to a certain time in the past. It’s often used with the past simple. The structure is
subject + had + past participle.

2. -I always went to school by bicycle.

-We studied in home.

-She read a book yesterday.

-They cooked cake yesterday.

- He entered the room and switched on the light.

3. My name is Aisyah Balqis, I am the eldest child, I have one younger sister, I live in
Jakarta with my parents, so many memories are stored in my memory. One of them
was when our family and I vacationed together at Ragunan Zoo. From the house to
Ragunan Zoo, we took the Transjakarta public transportation. There we enjoyed
traveling, visiting various animals, eating together, laughing together, and
exchanging stories. Simple thing, but makes me happy Masha Allah. Alhamdulillah I
am grateful, may our family be happy in this world and the hereafter. Thank you for
reading my story.
