Optimizer (optional):
The optimizer for the SUN2000-450W-P is installed at the rear of PV modules. Supports the long
PV string design. The maximum power of a single PV string is 5 kW. Commissioning:
• Local commissioning: The inverter communicates with the FusionSolar app over the built-in
WLAN.
• Remote management:
- Built-in WLAN of the inverter (standard configuration)
- Smart Dongle-WLAN-FE (optional)
- Smart Dongle-4G (optional)
Communicates with the FusionSolar smart PV management system to register and manage PV
plants.
Battery (optional):
• Huawei LUNA2000-(5-30)-S0
• LG Chem RESU7H/10H
High-voltage DC coupled battery supports plug-and-play after connecting to the inverter.
The battery is connected to inverters over RS485 for management, and supports AC and

Cascading scenarios In-phase grid connection Balanced three-phase grid connection

• In cascading scenarios, the inverters are required to connect

to the management system through a Smart Dongle.
The grid meter and Smart Dongle must be connected to
the same inverter.
• Only one LG battery is supported, and the LG battery must be
connected to the inverter installed with the Smart Dongle.
• Supports grid-tied parameter synchronization for cascaded
inverters. However, the optimizer and battery parameters need to
be configured for each inverter separately.
• The DDSU666-H (single-phase) and DTSU666-H 250 A/50 mA
(three-phase) connect to inverters over RS485 for output power
management and power limiting.
✓ For a single inverter, set Closed-loop controller to Inverter.
The duration of export limitation is less than 2s.
For multiple inverters, Closed-loop controller can only

be set to SDongle. The duration of export limitation is less
than 5s.

Comparison Between Normal and Long String Design
PV String Design in the Scenario Without Optimizers
Maximum number of PV modules in each PV string:
Single-phase scenario with Huawei batteries or without batteries:
600 V/ (39.1 V x K) ≈ 13
Single-phase scenario with LG batteries: 495 V/ (39.1 V x K) ≈ 10
Three-phase scenario: 1000 V/ (39.1 V x K) ≈ 21
Use the JKM300M-60/1000 V as an example. K is the ambient
temperature correction factor.
Refer to JKM300M-60/1000V datasheet K = 1 + (Local lowest temperature – 25° C) x PV module

Local lowest temperature = –20° C; PV module temperature

Note: The ratio on rainy days changes slightly, yet without affecting the measurement result.

The resistance measurement range of the multimeter affects the measured string output resistance. If the resistance
measurement range of the multimeter is too large, the measured string output resistance may be greater than N x 1.1
kilohms. Select the minimum resistance measurement range that meets the measurement requirements of the
multimeter.
Connecting a Battery and Grid Meter
SUN2000-2-6KTL-L1 • If an LG battery is configured, the PV string input voltage cannot exceed 495 V.
• The CAN_H and CAN_L ports of the battery are not used currently.
• The cable colors are for reference only.

Verifying the Installation
If the DC input power cable is reversely connected and the DC switch is turned on, do not perform operations on the DC switch or
the positive/negative connectors immediately. Otherwise, the device may be damaged. The caused device damage is not covered
under any warranty or service agreement. Wait until the night when solar irradiance declines and the PV string current drops to
below 0.5 A. Then set the DC switch to the OFF position, remove the positive and negative connectors, and correct the polarities of
the DC input power cable.
