Westeringer of the Week

(WoW)

What is it? It is an opportunity and a platform for our Westering High students to
be acknowledged for good moral and kind-hearted tasks they do in and around our
school and community.

How does it work?:

Each RCL can nominate anybody in their class that has done some activity or
endeavour that shows kindness, perseverance, bravery and or selflessness. It can be
in school or out of school related activities.

{Some possible examples: helping somebody with First Aid outside of school,
standing up for someone who is being bullied, recognised achievements for a
private sports team.)

Got nominations- now what? All nominations must be in by the end of the
Wednesday school day each week. Nominations will be looked at by the RCL
Executive and a worthy Junior and Senior Learner MAY be selected.

Please note: We reserve the right not to choose one should the nominations not be
‘serious’. We also reserve the right to choose more than one should we have reason
to.

Those selected? Selected WoW learners will be announced in the respective

assemblies and their photo will be put up on the RCL notice board for the week.

Optima Petamus-lets strive to be the best citizens within our school and in our
community.

Please note: We will only know if you share your good news with us, and good news is always
worth sharing.

Nominations slips are with your RCL and must be processed through your RCL. If you have
concerns speak to your Grade RCL Exec.
