EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER POSITION

I. POSITION

Executive Housekeeper

II. JOB SUMMARY

Direct the housekeeping services for guest-rooms, public and staff areas; ensure the highest
standards of sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics, and direct all housekeeping department
projects.

Supervise all housekeeping employees, plan and schedule work assignments.

Train new employees

Inspect housekeeping personnel work assignments and inventory supplies.

III. JOB TASKS (DUTIES)

1. Supervises all housekeeping employees; helps hire new employees as needed, discharges employees
when necessary,

Writes warning notices when policies have been violated; evaluates employees for timeliness and
cleanliness.

2. Plans the work of the Housekeeping Department and distributes assignments accordingly; assigns
regular and extra tasks.

3. Informs new employees about rules; trains and assigns them to work with experienced employees.

Checks each room, stays until all rooms are verified cleaned and up to Choice Hotel standards. All
Housekeeping staff has must be completely finished, (the executive housekeeper should always be the
last to clock out).

4. Inspects the housekeeping staff periodically to check the quantity and quality of their work.

5. Makes a weekly supply order, delivering it to the General Manager.

6. Develops effective strategies to communicate with other departments.

7. Makes recommendations regarding necessary special maintenance/repair improvements.

8. Plans “deep cleaning” activities and schedules cleaning for public areas.
