Probability Formulaes

1 ) Binomial Distribution :
PMF = n(c)x.(P)^x.(Q)^(n-x)
Mean = np
Variance = np(1-p)

2 ) Geometric Distribution :
PMF = P(X = x) = (1 - p)^(x-1).p
CDF = P(X ≤ x) = 1 - (1 - p)^x
MEAN = E[X] = 1 / p {NOTE* In some of the cases where RV starts from zero the
p becomes 1/(mean +1).}
VARIANCE = Var[X] = (1 - p) / p2

3 ) Poisson Distribution
PDF = f(x) =[e^(– λ). λ^(x)]/x!
MEAN = λ
VARIANCE = λ

4 ) Uniform Distribution
PDF = f(x) = k = 1/(b-a)
CDF = (x - a) / (b - a)

5 ) Exponential Distribution
PDF = λ.e^(-λx)
CDF = 1 - e(-λx)
MEAN = 1/λ
VARIANCE = 1/λ^2

6 ) Normal Distribution
PDF = 1/(σ√2pi).[e^{-1/2.(x-mean/σ)^2}]
MEAN = μ
VARIANCE = σ
