As your partner, we would like to update you on the recently released IC Circular
Letter No. 2021-54 on Synchronization of the Period of Coverage of Comprehensive
Motor Car Insurance Policies with the Date of Motor Vehicle Registration.

Below are the salient points of the said circular:

1. All CTPL policies and Comprehensive policies with CTPL are REQUIRED to be
synchronized with the LTO vehicle registration date.
2. For comprehensive policies, the insured has the OPTION to coincide the
effective date with their vehicle registration.
3. Customers with standalone CTPL policy may also opt to upgrade their cover
to Comprehensive policy with CTPL cover subject to additional premium and
underwriting guidelines of Pioneer.
4. Fleet policies are NOT REQUIRED to be synchronized with their motor
vehicle registration.
5. It is our shared responsibility as the Insurer and Intermediary to inform our
customers of their options.

These updates strive to promote efficiency and convenience, as well as avoid

redundancy in our motor car insurance coverage. With this, we strongly encourage
you to inform our mutual clients of these new developments and how they can
benefit from these.
