different emotional reactions and complex emotions when they encounter a human corpse for the first time.

• There are mixed responses to student attitudes and views on autopsies.

• The primary purpose of this study was to explore the students' deeper understanding of these areas.

• In order to evaluate the effects of anxiety and physical symptoms based on the experience of dissection,
a questionnaire was prepared to gain insight into the differences in attitudes and experiences of dissection of
male and female medical students.
