City Mouse, Country Mouse

City Mouse went to visit Country Mouse.
Country Mouse gave him a simple meal.
“The food is better in the city,” City Mouse said.
“Come to my home and see.”

So, Country Mouse went to the city.

He ate a fancy meal. He put on fancy clothes.
But then a big cat chased Country Mouse.
He barely got away.
“It is too dangerous in the city!” he said.
“I am going home. I would rather have a safe,
simple life than a fancy life living in danger.”
