4. BEST PRACTICES

 Cite as many best practices as you can on Parameter A (Laboratories, Shops

and Facilities)

1. Laboratory rooms are equipped with precautionary measures to warn

laboratory users on the Do’s and Don’ts inside the laboratory rooms.

2. Equipment and working tables are arranged properly to provide

enough working space for each laboratory user.

3. All students who will use the laboratory rooms are required to fill in the
Students’ Log Book to monitor who are using the laboratory.

4. First aid kits are available in the laboratory rooms especially those that
expose laboratory users to high risk of accidents such as power tools.

5. Fire extinguisher are provided inside or near each laboratory room

especially those that are utilizing high risk fire causing equipment
during the use of the room such as electric short circuit.

6. Before students will use the laboratory rooms and its equipment,
faculty-in-charge during the subject is conducting orientation and
demonstration on the use of the facilities.

7. After using any laboratory rooms/equipment, students are strictly

advised to observe 5S’ of good housekeeping making the laboratory
rooms and equipment clean and neat.

8. Laboratory rooms are well ventilated and lighted.
