❖ Fiberfill
❖ Black and white felt
❖ 12 mm safety eyes

❖ Black and white thread
❖ Hot glue gun (optional)
❖ Scissors

Please note:
To complete this project, you must know how to:
❖ “carry” yarn (keep a strand of yarn color against the one being worked with at present)
❖ change yarn colors
❖ make a chain

Do your research before sending me questions, please! :)

In this pattern, stitches made with gold yarn will be highlighted in this gold-like tint. I hope this
will make changing colors slightly easier!

I generally used a 2.5mm hook for most of the body, but using a size 3mm for the entire project
shouldn’t be a problem. Hook size really depends on the individual’s grasp and what you are
comfortable with.

If you have any questions while going through the pattern, please message me on Etsy. I
will reply as soon as possible! :)

Grab some black felt and cut out a pair of delicately slanted, tear-shaped eyes, snipping a tiny hole in the
bottom-center of each (so the safety eyes can pass through). I recommend drawing one eye on thick white paper,
cutting it out and then using the outline for both eyes when cutting the felt. Cut out a black nose* (a triangle with
round corners) and two white “eyebrows” (ovals). Sew on (or glue) onto the face, inserting the safety eyes over the
felt eyes (insert the eyes between Rounds 9 and 10, approximately 5 stitches apart).

*You may also use a 15mm safety nose, as I did with Ginger. ;)

Assembly:
Begin by attaching the hind legs to the body (I recommend sewing them into position so they won’t
wobble around awkwardly). Be careful not to attach them too high or else they won’t touch the ground.
Proceed with the tail and finally the head. If you’d like, you can add an “X” on the butt using black yarn.
