IntroductIon
Warfighter WW2 has now expanded to 4 different Core Games and dozens of Expansions. As it can be hard for
newcomers (or even old timers!) to navigate their way across all those products, I have written this guide to help
decision-making and collection-tracking.
Another goal of this guide is to answer commonly asked questions about Expansions articulations with the Core Game, Expansion
contents, mix & matching Expansions, errata, etc. This document attempts to guide the reader and give some insights by the use of
colored boxes with a question mark icon.
Products
As per the 22/03/2022, Warfighter WW2 products come in a lot of flavors:
The Core Games: Each Core Game is a fully independent product centered on a theater of operation: Europe,
Pacific, North Africa & Mediterranean.
The Nation Packs or Soldier Packs Expansions: Each Nation Pack includes Soldiers, Weapons, Equipment, a
National Skill, and other relevant cards so you can field this Nation's Soldiers. To play as the new Nation, just
add them to any core game. Nation Packs also usually introduce their Hostile Deck counterpart, so you can
also play against this new Nation.
Other Expansion packs: More original Packs like Medals, Nation Skills, Fortifications, Gear or Shore Invasion
fall under this category, as they can expand most of the Core Games.
The Battle Packs Expansions: Each Battle Pack is centered around a historical operation, battle or event of
WW2. Each Battle Pack includes the necessary Soldiers, Weapons, Equipment, Missions, and Objectives
needed to recreate the battle/campaign; thus each Pack is a fully playable Expansion. If the necessary
Locations are not provided in the noted core game, they are also included.
Battle Packs are directly tied to one of the Core Game, as you must use its specific Action Deck: we have
regrouped the Battle Packs per linked Core Game.
The Vehicle Packs Expansions: As per Nation Pack, they add a Nation to your card pool. The contains
Vehicles and Elite Hostile Anti-Vehicle card of the same Nation so you can play as or against the Nation’s
Vehicles.
Multi-Era Expansions: They are usually spawning from Kickstarter’s stretch goals and offer player with a
variety of new cards for each Warfighter Era (currently: Modern, Shadow War, WW2 Europe and Pacific).
For Warfighter WW2, they are mostly usable in any theater you may choose, with a few exceptions. One
should refer to the card list to gauge their interest.
p. 3
Other products include:
o Alternate settings like Korean War (see page 28) or World War Z (Undead & Lovecraftian settings,
see page 42).
o Storage Boxes, miniature Soldiers, neoprene playmats, etc. They are listed in page 44.
o Kickstarter Exclusives, they are listed in page 46.
You could purchase Expansion #71 “Battle of Bir Hakeim” without owning the North Africa Core Game and
you would still be able to use the French Soldiers. For that matter, even if a Battle Pack is meant to be played
with a specific Core Game, it is acceptable to use another Core Game components if you do not own the
required one;
You could also purchase Expansion #47 “Narvik”. It doesn’t contain any French forces, but you could very
well play the Missions & Objectives with the French against the German Hostiles.
However, there are some restrictions:
Missions, Objectives, Locations, Action Cards and Events introduced in some Expansions are related to one of the
Core Games and Region. Some Core Games support playing in several Regions. The detail is given below:
p. 4
As explained in the product description, Battle Packs are meant to be played with a dedicated Core Game (for
example, the Expansion #57 “Narvik” uses the Europe Core Game). However, you may still find value in any Battle
Pack as they also come with a selection of player cards (Soldiers, Weapons, Equipment etc.) that you may use with
any other product. Expansion #57 “Narvik” is a good example: it is the only expansion with Norwegian Soldiers,
Weapons and Equipment.
The Warfighter Battle Packs were designed to be standalone sets depicting a specific historical campaign or setting.
However, they can be expanded by combining with other sets which you may already have (source).
If you were wondering "how should I mix or add them to other sets?" most Battle Pack entry in this document have a
suggested list of compatible sets for each Battle Pack by their respective designers, which would historically make
sense to play together, as well as alternative setups with different Nation forces.
As mentioned before, the Missions, Objectives and Locations are scenario-specific to each Battle Pack, and not
intended to be mixed with other sets. However, as every Expansion (including the Battle Packs) is designed to be fully
compatible and interoperable, do not worry about unbalancing the game if you choose to mix them up. As always, feel
free to play the game however you enjoy it the most.

EuroPE thEatEr
The ETO (European Theater of Operation) Core Game introduces US Soldiers against
German Hostile in the “Europe” Region.
What are the differences between the 1st and 2nd edition?
The ETO Core Game is set in the “Europe” Region, but some of the Expansions that came
with the Wave 1 also introduced the “Russia” Region with its own Locations, Objectives and
Missions.
The “Russia” Region is developed as part of Expansions #9 to #12 (mostly from Russia and
Poland Expansions). It usually makes the game harder, with the weather conditions of East
Front taking their toll on your Soldiers.
Rumors have it that an East Front Core Game may be released one day, but for now, those
packs are your only entry point to the Russian winter!
This Expansion features American hostile forces, more Action cards, more Weapons, more
Equipment, more Skills, and more Mission, Objectives, and Locations!
Cards included (56) are:
1x Location Card
7x Action Cards
2x Weapon Cards
4x Equipment Cards
6x Skill Cards
16x US Hostile - Frontline Cards
20x US Hostile - Elite Cards
The Location included is for the “Europe” Region. It also includes Action Cards that are simply added to your
ETO Action Deck. It is mainly an introduction to the US Hostile Deck (to be complete with Expansion #6, see
page 9) and contains no new US Soldiers (as you should have plenty of those in the ETO Core Game already).
This Expansion features United Kingdom Soldiers and hostile forces, and UK Weapons!
Cards included (56) are:
6x PC Soldier Cards
5x NPC Soldier Cards
6x Squad Soldier Cards
7x Weapon Cards
15x UK Hostile - Frontline Cards
17x UK Hostile - Elite Cards
This Expansion is the prime example of a Nation/Soldier Pack. It contains Soldier Cards and their Gear for the
United Kingdom. It also contains their Hostile Deck counterpart (both Frontline and Elite).
For instance, if you own the ETO Core Game, you could now play as the UK against the German or be wild
and play as the US against the UK Hostile Decks. But you could also very well buy that pack as an Expansion
to the North African Core Game, or even your Warfighter Fantasy Core Game if fighting dragons with
Tommies is your deal!
p. 8
Cards included (56) are:
7x PC Soldier Cards
4x NPC Soldier Cards
6x Squad Soldier Cards
1x Location Card
7x Action Cards
14x Weapon Cards
2x Equipment Cards
9x Skill Cards
3x Mission Cards
3x Objective Cards
The Location included is for the “Europe” Region. This Nation Pack does not include the German Hostiles, as
they are already available through the ETO Core Game.
This Expansion offers 112 cards for US, UK, German and Russian forces, including:
9 Player Soldiers
9 Non-Player Soldiers
9 Squad Soldiers
5 Skills
4 Weapons
2 Equipment
18 Hostiles, Elite
18 Hostiles, Frontline
3 Events
35 Service Records
Those Cards were originally included into the Ammo Box (storage box, Expansion #5 see page 44) for
Warfighter WWII and made available later for retail on their own.
Those decks are interesting to expand your ETO Core Game with a new type of cards: Service Records for
your Soldiers, and new Hostiles and Events that add diversity to their respective decks.
This Expansion features additional American hostile forces, more Action cards, more Weapons,
more Equipment, more Skills, and more Mission, Objectives, and Locations!
Cards included (56) are:
4x PC Soldier Cards
4x NPC Soldier Cards
4x Squad Soldier Cards
1x Location Card
8x Action Cards
4x Weapon Cards
2x Equipment Cards
13x US Hostile - Frontline Cards
14x US Hostile - Elite Cards
1x Mission Card
1x Objective Card
The Location, Objective and Mission included are for the “Europe” Region.
p. 9
This Expansion features additional British hostile forces, more Action cards, more Weapons, more
Equipment, more Skills, and more Mission, Objectives, and Locations!
Cards included (56) are:
4x PC Soldier Cards
4x NPC Soldier Cards
4x Squad Soldier Cards
10x Weapon Cards
5x Equipment Cards
11x UK Hostile - Frontline Cards
16x UK Hostile - Elite Cards

13x German Hostile - Frontline Cards
16x German Hostile - Elite Cards
The Location included is for the “Europe” Region. It also includes Action Cards that are simply added to your
ETO Action Deck. This Expansion is a great way to expand your ETO Core Game, giving you access to
German Soldiers as well as some variety for your German Hostile Deck.
p. 10

This pack marks the debut of Airborne Mission, a new type of Mission in Warfighter WWII that plays with
Airborne Soldiers and two new nasty decks: the Landing Zone and the Enemy Lines deck. As stated in the
rules, if you get more Airborne Expansions (like #25, #40 or #78) you can collate all those Landing Zone and
Enemy Lines Cards into single decks.
Airborne Missions require their own Objective and Mission cards, which are still related to a Region (here, the
“Europe” Region) and should be played with the corresponding Location Deck, Action Deck and Event Deck
(here, provided in the ETO Core Game), against any type of Hostile you’d like.

Missions in Warfighter WW2.
The second Canadian Expansion (#35 see page 24) expands on the “Jungle” Region and is thus playable with
the Pacific Core Game. If you want to have a full Canadian Hostile Deck (and/or expand on your Canadian
Soldier & Gear selection), you might want to purchase Expansion #35, even if you don’t own the Pacific Core
Game (only 6 cards would be “unusable”).

Even in the darkest days following the fall of France to the German blitzkrieg in May 1940, not all
was lost: from the populace arose the Resistance fighters called the Maquis. Whether baker,
banker, teacher or housewife, these brave civilian men and women showed that resistance was not
futile, rallying under the flag with the Croix de Lorraine. With less training and equipment than
regular forces, and scrounging whatever they could, the Maquis carried out a shadow war on
many fronts: printing and distributing underground propaganda, sabotaging enemy networks,
aiding Allied pilots who had crashed behind enemy lines, and sending valuable intelligence to the
British, risking their lives and retaliation, until France was finally liberated in December 1944.
This Expansion features Resistance fighters with missions and skills which reflect their methods of
guerilla warfighting, with scrounged-up weapons and gear, stealthy movement, and unconventional
objectives. This is a Soldier pack with new Soldiers, Missions, Objectives, Weapons, Equipment,
Skills, and Service Records.
Cards included (56) are:
7 x Player Soldiers (French Resistance)
6 x Non-Player Soldiers (French Resistance)
5 x Squad Soldiers (French Resistance)
9 x Weapons
2 x Equipment
8 x Skills
3 x Service Records
8 x Missions
8 x Objectives
A developer diary can be found here and here.
The Mission and Objectives expand on the “Europe” Region and have a distinct “Résistance” feel, although
you can use them in your regular infantry games.
Freely use the Gear of US, UK, and German Nationalities as long as one of your team has the Captured Gear
skill.
The intention was always that you'd use this with European locations from the WW2 ETO Core
Game (and maybe Mokra 1) for springtime and summer missions, or Bastogne and/or Narvik (don't
mind the tongue-twisting Location names) for a winter setting.
For squad building, mix some of the Maquis agents with UK or US Airborne soldiers, to give the
team a little more firepower, but keeping the stealth and foraging skills from the Résistance. You can
also mix the Maquis and Dieppe sets for Missions / Locations / Objectives, to create SOE/Résistance
missions in that northern French setting.
Blitzkrieg, September 1939 and the 4th Panzer Division has crossed the Polish border is
racing towards Warsaw, before it stands the Wołyńska Cavalry Brigade, what chance has
cavalry got against tanks?
Your Soldiers are Uhlans of the Wołyska Cavalry Brigade, Poland needs every day to
mobilize its’ reserves and for its allies to act. Your missions and objectives will be to stop the
Panzers near the village of Mokra for as long as you can.
Blitzkrieg, September 1939 and the 4th Panzer Division has crossed the Polish border and is
racing towards Warsaw, before it stands the Wołyńska Cavalry Brigade, what chance has

Your Soldiers are of the 4 Pz Div Schützen Regiment 12, be they on motorcycles or
dismounted, your missions and objectives will be to clear the way through the village and
woods of Mokra for the Panzers
On the 16th of December 1944, in the midst of a bitter winter, the German army launched its’
last major offensive in the West, gambling on breaking through the American lines and
exploiting to the Meuse, in the hope defeat could be staved off. Critical to the success was the
strategic road junction of Bastogne. At 1650 on December 26th, the advanced elements of the
US 4th Armored Division broke through to Bastogne and officially lifted the siege.
Alternatively, you can play on the Allied side using US Soldiers and German Hostiles from ETO core, in
addition to US Soldiers & Gear from Exp #06 & Exp #24, and US Vehicles from Exp #36 with German
Anti-Vehicle Hostiles from Exp #37.
In the early hours of the 19th of August 1942, a large amphibious force consisting of 237
Ships and Landing craft carried 5000 Canadian Soldiers, 1000 British Commandos, 50 U.S.
Rangers – on their first raid of WW2, and 50 of the latest Tanks available to the British forces
moved with deadly intent towards the enemy occupied coast of France. Seventy-nine
Squadrons of Fighters and Medium Bombers flew overhead in support of the Raiders.
Shortly before 5am, the Allied forces charged ashore onto the 6 beaches on and surrounding
the Fishing Port in the Town of Dieppe. Alert and waiting for the Allied forces stood the men
of the German 302nd Static Infantry Division. The ensuing 6 hours of Battle saw the Allied
forces fight with Bravery in the face of determined German defenders.
At the end of the day, over 4000 Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen were dead or wounded. From
the Canadians alone, 1946 Soldiers were marched into captivity, their Bravery and Courage

was established on that fateful morning and the lessons learnt from this Disaster gave the
Allied planners the necessary knowledge and tactics which would lead to successful invasion
in Normandy in June 1944 two years later.
For those player who are history buffs and wargamers you have all the necessary components
to script out the desperate actions that occurred between the 2nd Canadian Division, the
Commandos and the 302nd Static Division of the occupying German forces on the beaches on
or near the fishing port of Dieppe in France in the early hours of the 19th of August 1942.
Also included are a British Commando Player Soldier, 2 British Commando Squaddies and a
Non-Player Soldier U.S. Ranger.
As World War II rages on, the battle continues above and under the seas. When a damaged
U-Boat is forced to surface and set to scuttle, Royal Marines boarding parties have to race
against time and obstacles to secure the vessel and seize the precious Enigma cipher machine
and radio code-books, before the stricken vessel sinks beneath the waves!
This Expansion pays tribute to, and features, Royal Marines of the Commando Brigade with
raiding missions and incursion skills, reflecting the high-intensity, close-quarters warfighting
aboard a sinking ship.

On December 7, 1939, the Soviet 163rd Rifle Division attacked and captured the town of
Suomussalmi, Eastern Finland. The objective was to cut Finland in half in the middle, cutting
off supply routes from Sweden and Norway and splitting the defense into several separate
regions without mutual support. The Soviet battleplan called for the 9th Army to swiftly
advance along the northern roads from Suomussalmi to Oulu in a Blitzkriegish fashion.
The Mechanized divisions swiping the few defenders with ease and reaching Oulu in a couple
of weeks. However, attacking with Mechanized Divisions along a 6m wide snow fringed dirt
road, in the Arctic Winter, had its hazards. The 163rd Division and the reinforcing 44th
Division soon found themselves surrounded and divided into small encirclements, "Motti"'s.
The Battle of Raate Road had begun.
The battle of Narvik lasted from the 9th of April, to the 9th of June, 1940 in bitterly cold
weather. The Allies (Norway, UK, France & Poland) fought for control of the strategically
important iron ore port of Narvik against a German force composed of mountain troops
(Gebirgsjägers) from Austria, paratroopers (Fallschirmjägers) and marooned sailors often
equipped with captured Norwegian gear (Gebirgsmarine). Can your Norwegian Soldiers of
the 6th Infantry Division keep Northern Norway free from the Nazis and Quislings?
p. 18
The battle for Castle Itter was fought near the Austrian village of Itter on May 1945, in the
last days of the Second World War. US soldiers joined forces with Wehrmacht riflemen, along
with Polish and French prisoners and resistance fighters, to defend an Austrian castle against
German SS attackers in one of the most unusual battles of the war. This Expansion presents
the historical characters which participated in the defense (including the M4 Sherman,
"Besotten Jenny") and authentic castle locations, along with German hostiles representing
the 17th SS Panzergrenadiers laying siege to the castle.
Following the invasion at Normandy, the push into the French hinterland grew bloody and
savage as the German forces dug into the obstructed bocage country, leaving the Allied
progress stymied. Because of its strategic importance, the occupied city of Saint-Lô had been
the target of repeated Allied bombing.
The protracted resistance around the city was the hardest fighting of the campaign thus far,
and its subsequent liberation after a bitter struggle left the city as a broken, ramshackle shell
of ruins - yet setting the stage for Operation Cobra, which would decisively shatter the
German defensive line and open the way to Paris.
As there are no German Hostile in this Battle Pack, you must use those provided in the Europe Core
Game (regular German Hostile Deck). Note that you can use the Frontline or Elite Hostile from the Core
Game. The Anti-Vehicle German Hostiles provided in this Battle Pack are of the Elite type (as every
Anti-Vehicle Hostile in the Warfighter WW2 products).

Seize the bridges over the River Orne and Caen Canal at Bénouville and Ranville intact and
hold them until relieved.
- Order given to Major John Howard, D Company, Ox and Bucks for his D-Day mission,
June 6th, 1944.
At 0016 June 6th, 1944 the men of D Company, Ox and Bucks, landed in Horsa gliders within
yards of two vital bridges spanning the River Orne and the Caen Canal in a coup de main
operation intended to both prevent any German reinforcements reaching the landing beaches
and allow for a rapid occupation of the city of Caen. Recreate the fast, deadly action that led
to the capture of Pegasus Bridge before you repulse the enemy counterattack. Command
historical figures such as Major John Howard and Lieutenant Den Brotheridge (25 Platoon)
as they liberate the Café Gondrée and eliminate the sniper operating from the Château de
Bénouville.
The raid on the French Atlantic coastal town of Saint-Nazaire, Operation Chariot, is one of
the most audacious operations in the history of warfare. The obsolete destroyer HMS
Campbeltown was disguised to resemble a German vessel and rammed the Normandie dry
dock gates, blowing it up and putting it out of service until after the war. At the same time, a
force of Royal Marines Commandos landed in the town to attack the harbour facilities and
other infrastructure, whilst sowing havoc and reaping chaos amongst the enemy garrison. As
most of the transports for extraction were destroyed or immobilized, many of the raiding
Commando force were killed or captured when their ammunition ran out.

The battle for Iwo Jima was one of the most difficult and hard-fought in the Pacific campaign,
from February to March 1945. The Japanese defenders were dug into well-entrenched
underground bunkers and natural cave systems on the island, and even though the Americans had
numerical, logistical and aerial supremacy, a high price was paid for the hard-won victory. In the
iconic photo of the six Marines raising a flag over Mount Suribachi, three were killed in action
days after, testament to the ferocity of the fighting.
For four days in November 1943, roughly 2600 sailors drawn from the Imperial Japanese Navy’s
Special Naval Landing Forces fought tooth and nail to prevent the United States Marine Corps
from establishing a hold in the central Pacific. Outnumbered more than five to one, and with
nowhere to run, the SNLF fought, nearly to the last man. Of the 2600 Naval Infantry sailors there,
only 17 left the island alive, and all as prisoners of war. The Americans were destined to win—they
had the numbers, the naval advantage, and the air advantage, and despite the heavy fortifications
of the Japanese defenders, the outcome was never really in doubt.
Take command of IJN SNLF Sailors and do your best to honor the Emperor as you fight to the last
man. If you can’t stop the American advance, you can at least make them pay in blood for every
inch of Tarawa. This Battle Pack is a Holding Action-centric pack that pits the disciplined
fanaticism of IJN SNLF against the military might of the United States Marine Corps.
“I have always considered the landing of the Seventh in the fog of Attu, on May 11, 1943 an
amphibious landing without Parallel…”
Maj. Gen. Holland M. “Howling Mad” Smith USMC.
On May 11th, 1943, 16000 soldiers of the United States 7th Infantry Division made amphibious
landings on Attu, a remote and windswept Island in the Aleutians. The 7th Division had spent
eighteen months preparing to fight in North Africa – training as a tank division for hot desert
conditions, not as a light infantry amphibious force for arctic island warfare. The commanding
General De Witt assured the high command that the Island defenses would crumble in three days.
It took 19 days of battle and over 500 U.S. Soldiers killed in action with more than 1200 injured.
The Battle of Attu, which began with an unopposed landing, would end with unrestrained violence.
The battle ended with a Japanese banzai counterattack that left almost all of the Japanese dead. It
was one of the deadliest fights in the Pacific during WW2.
“We will carry out a charge with the heroic spirits of those killed in battle.” Col. Yamasaki
Yasuyo.
On June 7th, 1942, Soldiers of the Imperial Japanese invaded Attu in the Aleutians Islands. After
the landing the Japanese soldiers began constructing fortifications and an airfield. Realizing the
need to hold Attu, the garrison was increased to a 2500-man force under the command of Colonel
Yasuyo Yamasaki. The Japanese were acclimated to the harsh weather conditions, they had
prepared their defenses, they were utterly devoted to their Emperor and prepared to sell their lives
dearly. The US Forces landed 11000 Soldiers on May 11th, 1943 expecting to secure the Island in
"three days". Over the next 19 days the US forces gradually gained the upper hand. Realizing that
there would be no help or reinforcements coming to help in an increasingly hopeless situation, on
May 29th, Colonel Yamasaki, sword in hand, led a massive Banzai charge against the Americans.
The Japanese military used the term Gyokusai or “Shattering like a Jewel” to describe the self-
annihilation of the defending force, of which only 29 Japanese survived the battle. This was the
only instance of a banzai charge on American soil.
p. 26
In a blitzkrieg of just 73 days, the Japanese forces captured the entire Malayan archipelago,
including the great fortress city of Singapore. The fall of Malaya was a resounding shock and
humiliation to the Allied armies, who had vastly underestimated their opponents. Force 136 was
the cover identity given to the Far East branch of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE),
which supported resistance and paramilitary groups working in Japanese-occupied territories,
carrying out unconventional warfare, sabotage, local aid and reconnaissance missions.
Hungry, thirsty, poorly armed and in combat for the first time the brave soldiers of the 1st Marine
Division endured day after day of horror and deprivation defending the Cactus Air Force flying
out of Henderson Field. Fighting what became known as the key land battle of the Pacific War the
marines beat back wave after wave of merciless attackers, their exploits drawing the attention of
the world. Recreate the key battles of Alligator Creek and Edson's Ridge while scouting for enemy
positions and hunting for Pistol Pete, the Japanese heavy artillery that shelled the Lunga
Perimeter with impunity. Fight through historical locations such as the Matanikau River,
Kokumbona Village and Koli Point. Command men such as William J. Whaling, the founder of the
Scout-Sniper detachment that would eventually go on to become Marine Recon, and John
Basilone, whose bravery defending Henderson Field saw him win the Medal of Honor. Meet Sir
Jacob C. Vouza, the native who refused to give away American positions to his Japanese torturers
despite being bayoneted numerous times and left to die, only to bite through his bindings and
return to Marine lines quickly enough to warn them of the Japanese advance and win the Battle of
the Tenaru.
Flies swarm to the scabs...No strength to brush them away...Fall down and cannot move...How
many times I've thought of suicide. - Sergeant Kashichi, Imperial Japanese Army.
Drawn into a battle Japan did not expect or want, Guadalcanal blunted the Expansion of the
empire. Overly confident and initially dismissive of the fighting prowess of the USMC the bravery
of each individual Japanese soldier could not compensate for gross misjudgments and poor
planning among the senior officers. Recreate the drama, bloodshed and futility of the night assault
over Alligator Creek and the desperate Banzai charges intended to pierce the Lunga Perimeter
and reach Henderson Field. Fight for control of the Matanikau River and ambush unsuspecting
p. 27
marines in the deep, dangerous jungle of Guadalcanal. Fight through key locations such as the
Maruyama Road, the Bowling Alley and Coffin Corner commanding the great warriors Masajiro
Furimiya and Masao Tamura.

Operation Tombola was a British SAS-led mission to carry out a series of harassing raids behind
enemy lines in the Reggio Emilia region, at the top of the Italian "boot". The operation was put
together by Major Roy Farrar, who was not allowed to go on the actual mission, although he was
allowed to accompany the SAS on the aircraft as they were airdropped. During the airdrop, he
"accidentally" fell out of the aircraft, although he happened to have a parachute on, and was able
to lead his troops in the field.
The attacks included an assault on the German Gebirgs (mountain corps) headquarters in an
attempt to decapitate their regional high command. Notably, a Scottish piper was part of the
assaulting force, so that the friendlies could identify which side they were fighting on, as well as to
confuse the Germans into thinking that a main Allied force was attacking rather than a raiding
party.

The Battle of Crete marks the occasion in which the German Fallschirmjäger (paratroops)
executed the first major airborne invasion in warfare, only to be faced by stiff resistance from
Allied forces, bolstered by Cretan civilians who also took up arms against the invaders. Initial
fighting from the defenders was so fierce that the German offensive briefly faltered, before Allied
hesitation allowed the Germans to rally and regain the initiative, forcing the Allies to retreat and
eventually capitulate. The success of the airborne operation demonstrated the mobility and
capabilities of airborne assault forces.

The Battle of Rimini was part of Operation Olive, the Allied offensive against the Gothic Line in
Northern Italy. The township of Rimini, situated along the Adriatic coast, was the easternmost
anchor point of the Rimini Line, which was part of the multi-layered wall of Gothic Line defenses.
The battle for the town along its outlying regions and into the town itself was some of the most
brutal fighting, given the strategic significance of the city. At the conclusion of hostilities, it was
estimated that less than 2% of the buildings in the city had been unscathed by the fighting.

The Gothic Line was a major German strategic defensive line along northern Italy, and its final
line of defense used by the retreating German forces in Italy in the late stages of the war, with over
a million soldiers combined in the British 8th Army and American 5th Army facing the German
10th and 14th Armies. The Gothic Line itself was a series of multi-layered defensive emplacements,
built using captured and slave labor, including machine gun nests, casemates, bunkers,
observation posts and artillery emplacements. The campaign to decisively breach the Gothic Line
took over ten months of Allied efforts (although it had been briefly breached during the Battle of
Rimini).

The Charge of the Savoia Cavalleria at Izbushensky Khutor (hamlet) in the Volga Region was a
skirmish between the Italian Cavalry 3rd Regiment "Savoia Cavalleria" and the Soviet 812th
Siberian Infantry Regiment in August 1942. Although it was a minor encounter in the larger
Eastern Theatre of Operations, the Charge of the Savoia Cavalleria has historical significance as
one of the final major cavalry charges in armed warfare, and its actions resonated with much
propaganda throughout Italy.

Serving as part of the British Army for nearly 200 years, the Gurkhas have fought in almost every
major conflict and theatre of war, including in World War II where they were comprised of 40
battalions. These fearsome Nepalese fighters have deservedly earned a near-legendary reputation
of being some of the fiercest and bravest warriors in battle: esteemed by their allies and dreaded
by their enemies and respected by all alike. They are easily recognized by their signature weapon -
the long, curved knife known as the kukri - and their motto is "Better to die than to be a coward."
Will contain British Gurkha Soldiers and Hostiles. No other information yet.
Because the Gurkhas are effectively a British national pack (i.e. with both Soldier and Hostiles), it makes most
sense to "file" them under the North Africa as NA has British gear, weapons and skills that the Gurkhas can
use - although historically they fought in every theatre in which the British Army was involved in WWII, and
can be easily used with any core set (source).
The Battle of Bardia was one of the first Allied incursions into North Africa as part of Operation
Compass, with the Australian 6th Division assaulting the fiercely defended fortress and township
of Bardia. It was a hard-fought victory with over 30000 enemy prisoners taken and opened the
path for the Allied campaign to advance into Libya and Cyrenaica.
The Battle of Damascus was one of the final actions of the Syrian-Lebanon Campaign, with Free
French troops, along with British Indian and Australian allies, in a final push to capture the
capital city of Syria. The advancing forces captured the outlying towns at Qadim and Merdjayoun,
relieving the siege of Mezzeh, before advancing on Damascus and eventually forcing the surrender
of the Vichy French garrison in the city.

The Battle of Bir Hakeim and the delays which it caused to the Axis offensive contributed to the
cancellation of Operation Herkules, the invasion of Malta. The Free French forces fiercely
defended the oasis known as Bir Hakeim against a superior marauding Panzerarmee force, taking
heavy casualties, but in turn became a moral and propaganda victory in its own right, proving the
effectiveness of the French forces.
This set adds new Free French Soldiers and Squad Vehicle, German Hostiles, Missions, Locations,

The discovery of Dieselium in the late 1930’s, even with its’ toxic instability, has driven the
development of engines capable of power to weight undreamt. Nowhere seen more striking than
on the Battlefield of today, where Dieselium engines drive the metal frames surrounding
armored soldiers faster and stronger than ever imagined. These Augmented Infantry are taking
the war to the enemy, wherever they are to be found, even to the secret Nazi Laboratory Factory
under Castle Frankenstein.
1946 and the war in Europe rages on, with a powered suit of armor encasing you, carrying an
array of heavy fire power will it be enough to take on the might of the Nazi War Machine?

There have always been disturbing tales of R’lyeh, what with one thing and another, and the
war, they haven’t been investigated until now. I want you to take your men and find out what
it’s all about. You and your soldiers of the Papuan Infantry Battalion land on the Island of
R’lyeh off the New Guinea coast, little knowing what horrors and mind destroying terrors
awaited you. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn…
Your WWII Australian soldiers face the Japanese and the unknown. Some of the Hostiles are the
scattered remnants of a Japanese force that is starving, diseased, and possibly going insane.
Some of the hostiles are “Shadows” – these may be human or not, the player will only know at
the end. The last of the hostiles are “Finds” that may give a clue to what is happening. Find
enough clues, eliminate enough Shadows and the tales of R’lyeh may be explained in rational
terms even if horrible. Fail and no amount of human firepower will defeat the Ancient Old
Ones.

This "Pacific errata pack" contains also a lot of ETO errata cards (since it concerns also Wave II cards), some
questions about this set:
What should be done with card #20-1? It doesn't bear a "a" and does not correspond to Expansion 20 card
#1. Answer: this replaced #20-28 that had originally had a Skill back. Source
Some cards do not have corresponding title, for example 19-33a and 19-34a are "Initiative" in the errata and
"Shell Scrape" in the original Expansion. Is that normal? Answer: Those are indeed wrong numbers and
should replace 23-33 and 23-34 (who had ETO back instead of PTO back). Source
What should be done with card W-17b? What card does it replace? Answer: this replaces W-152 in the ETO
Core Game, and for that matter, also replaces W-17a from the ETO errata pack. Source
What should be done with card #23-41? It doesn't bear a "a" and does not correspond to Expansion 23 card
#41. Answer: this replaces 23-17.

For Warfighter WW2 Europe and Wave 1 Expansions, which were originally included in the Warfighter
Pacific Core Game
A number of Warfighter Pacific cards (with card id WP-xx) were included in this set to fill out the printer's
sheet, and can be ignored if you are not playing WF Pacific
NOTA: As per this thread, cards #294 and 295 do not exist (see pdf). Thus, the card count for the Pacific Core Game
is 388 cards (280 base cards, 43 errata as per pdf above and 65 Kickstarter personalized soldiers see page 46) and not
390 cards. The count error was acknowledged by DVG.
Questions about this set:
The other WP-XXX cards can be added to the Pacific Core as extra cards but are not errata cards, right?
Answer: yes.
p. 49
What if you own the Pacific Expansion in which the card appears? Example: WP-281 isn't originally in the
Pacific Core but can be found in Extension#17 - USMC2. If I own Expansion #17 do I still include WP-281?
(I guess it doesn't matter cos those are skills?). Answer: yes.
