Application The screw is used to fix profiled sheet to the
steel substrate. Normally fixing is done on the
lower rib or trough of panel for wall cladding. It
is essential that the total thickness to be drilled
does not exceed the drilling capacity of screw.
AISI S100 recommends a safety factor Ω= 3.0 be
applied for ASD, a factor Φ = 0.5 be applied for LRFD
design or a factor Φ = 0.4 be applied for LSD design.
