I. Objectives:
At the of the lesson, the students are expected to:
A. Identify homonyms in a sentence. EN3V-IIIE-f13.6
B. Use correct homonyms in a sentence.
C. Value the importance of teamwork and cooperation.

III. Procedure:
A. Preparation
1. Performing routinary activities. The teacher will ask the pupils, “Children
let us read first our class rules.”
2. Review of the Past Lesson
Synonyms and Antonyms
The teacher shows five pairs of words and asks them to identify whether
they are synonyms or antonyms.
Example: yummy - delicious = synonyms
Big - small = antonyms

c. Value the importance of teamwork and cooperation.

3. Motivation
The class is divided into four groups for a contest. Team Admirable, Team
Beautiful, Team Pretty and Team Gorgeous. All members will participate
in the activity. Then, the teacher gives the mechanics of the game.
The teacher will ask the pupils to read the Group Rules.
Rules of the game:
a. Each member of the group will get a strip of paper inside the container
and read aloud what is written on it. Be sure to speak clearly.
b. Then go to the front and look for the meaning of their chosen question.
c. Go to the board and post it according to its number.
d. The group who completed the task first will be declared as the winner.

B. Presentation
Let us watch a video presentation. Please watch and listen carefully.
C. Discussion
Children, what was the video about? What have you learned while watching the
video presentation? What have you noticed about the words presented? Those
words are called Homonyms. Homonyms are pair of words that sound the same
but are spelled differently and mean different things. Observe the homonyms
that were shown in the video that are used in each sentence and try to
understand.

The teacher will present the rubrics.


Group Activity: The teacher will divide the class into three groups. Each group
will be given activities to answer and present later. They have 5 minutes to answer
their activities and 5 minutes to present their outputs.
Group 1: Based on the pictures given, give the homonyms of the given words.
Group 2: Match the correct picture of the homonym given.
Group 3: Fill in the correct homonyms in each sentence using the word strips
provided.

teamwork and cooperation in your group? Was it important? Why?
