HOW TO UPDATE MK2+ CONTROL UNIT SOFTWARE

Install the programmer’s driver (pololu-usb-avr-programmer-win-110524.exe)

Click CLOSE to exit the installer

Connect the programmer to a USB port and wait for its installation
Install AVRStudio4 software (aStudio4b589.exe) and follow the installation steps

Accept the terms of the license agreement

Select the installation folder

Click NEXT
Click INSTALL to start the installation

Wait for the software’s installation

Click FINISH to exit the installation wizard
Connect the control unit to the power supply and connect the programmer to the “RS232 OUT/ISP”
port
Switch on the control unit
 Open AVR Studio 4

Click on the AVR icon to enter the program mode

Click on the MAIN tab
 Select “ATmega32” in the “Device and Signature Bytes” field
Select “ISP mode” in the “Programming Mode and Target Settings” field
Click on the PROGRAM tab and click the three dots on the right of the “Input HEX File” field to
select the update file
Select the update file from the file browser
Click PROGRAM and wait for the software update
The software update is done, you can verify the software version reading the LCD screen during the
control unit initialization
