c. Joint shaft
Clockwise rotation

a. After power supply is on,

the pump begin to rotate clockwise.

Power
connection
b. Joint shaft is for joining the motor with the pump. The
power is transmitted from motor to the pump by it. Please
leave no space between the pump and motor.
Pump air inlet is
joined with CNC
router air outlet.
Air-in port

Air vent and

water discharge
c. Pump body is the key part of water vane pump.
Instructions to use water vane pump.
Start up
1. Close valve on the air-in pipe.
2. Start motor
3. Open water-supply valve (do not make water flow too much)
4. When the pump is vacuumed, open valve to start work

Stop work
1. Close valve on the air-in pipe.
2. Stop water flow, and let pump running for a few minutes
3. Power off the motor
2.Installation and operation of dust collector

a. Assemble all parts of dust collector,

including motor, dust collection bag and
dust collection port.
b. Connect power wires, run the motor
to suck air.

c. Install the pipe into the

Dust collection bag
air inlet port. Wrap tightly
the other air-inlet ports to
Dust collection prevent air leak or
port accidents.
3. Position and adjusting of sensors

Position sensor is made of switch and magnet.

Magnet is for fixing machine home, and switch is
for giving instructions to controller.

X axis position sensor

X axis sensor: The sensor

switch is in the lower part
of the left of the gantry.
The magnet is under the
table, opposite to the
switch.
Y axis position sensor

Y axis sensor switch

Y axis position sensor: Y axis

sensor is in the lower part behind
the gantry. Magnet is on the right
of the gantry.
Z axis position sensor

Z axis sensor switch and magnet

Z axis sensor: Z axis sensor switch

is in the upper left part of the
spindle. Magnet is in the upper left
part of the spindle motor.
Position sensor adjusting: Overstepping will happen if sensor can
not be found.
The back and front sides of the magnet are two poles, so when
the sensor switch approaches the magnet, the sensing result is
different.
If the sensor switch can not find the magnet, push the magnet to
the sensor switch. If this does not work, turn the magnet around
to the other side.
Lubricate bearing, guide rail, rack and pinion of X,Y and Z axis. Put
the lubricating oil evenly on the transmission parts. (There are in
total 12 runner blocks in a Artisman CNC router.)
Maintenance of runner block: Fill the
butter gun with lube, and then push
the nozzle into the oiling hole of the
runner block to lubricate the oil.
The four runner blocks of Y
axis is on the two guide rails.

The four runner blocks of Z axis

are on the back of spindle bracket.

The four runner blocks of X axis are on the two sides of the table.
Regular maintenance is very important for prolonging the
machine life and reducing maintenance cost. Through daily
maintenance, the machine can work without obstacle for a
long time, so as to reduce the unnecessary repeated
working caused by machine stop or obstruction, finally
reducing you cost.
Maintenance routines vary due to different working
environments and different materials. You can do it every
day or weekly.
Now we give a brief introduction to help you to prolong the
machine life by proper maintenance.

Note:
1. Daily maintenance: ensure the equipment is clean. To clean
off all debris every day, especially for cutting metal material,
the spindle tabletop and the controller box must be clean.
2. Weekly maintenance: clean spindles, and grease the
bearings (X, Y and Z axis), rail, gears, and chains. While
greasing, make the grease is evenly spread on the driven
parts.
(If any above-mentioned device is not greased enough, the
machine life will be shortened, and the operating noise
increased, or abnormal voice comes out. Bearings, gears and
chains can be lubricated with high quality butter.)
3. Monthly maintenance: check whether the connections
between the PC COM and Artisman CNC machine equipment,
the power connection are loosen, or there are other possible
hidden troubles. Check whether the CNC machine is
ventilated well, the fixing bolts of the motor and spindles (X,
Y and Z direction) are loose, and then execute weekly
maintenance.
