Two airports selected in Tamil Nadu for Krishi UDAN scheme

 The central government’s sudden move to impose
restrictions on the import of computers, laptops, etc.
has caused a huge shock.
 The August 3, 2023 notification of the Ministry of
Commerce said that they should be imported only
after obtaining a license from the government.
China’s influence
 Hardware that plays an important role in computer
technology is mostly manufactured in China
 One argument is that if they are unreliable with
security flaws, sensitive personal information,
personal details and national information may be
compromised.
 It is a fact that India is anticipating China’s military
threat anytime after the 2020 Galwan attack. But
all at once, we cannot ignore, avoid or block China
 With more than half of India’s $8 billion computer
and computer spare parts imports coming from
China, it is not possible to avoid it through
restrictions.
 If the aim is to force international computer
companies like Apple and Samsung to manufacture
in India by imposing restrictions on the import of
