BAPTISM

Matthew 28 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost:
²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.

From what I see here Christ is commanding his disciples to teach (the Word) and to baptize (water
immersion).

This is why after teaching the Eunich Philip baptized him as was instructed by Christ.

“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water;
what doth hinder me to be baptized?”
— Acts 8:36 (KJV)

Peter also did the same as Christ commanded. He taught and then Baptized.

Acts 2 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
³⁷ Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the
apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
³⁸ Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

⁴¹ Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them
about three thousand souls.

Here the scripture mentions that the same day they accepted the word and got baptized, they could not
have had enough time to be immersed in the word for a symbolic baptism to have happened.
Teaching then baptizing.

Mark 16 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature.
¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall
be damned.

John 3:5 (KJV)

“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom
of God”

John 3 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²² After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there
he tarried with them, and baptized.
²³ And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much
water there: and they came, and were baptized.

John 3 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²⁵ Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about
purifying.
²⁶ And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee
beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all
men come to him.
1 Peter 3
20
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the
days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved
by water.

21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away
of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ:

22
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and
powers being made subject unto him.

John 4 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and
baptized more disciples than John,
² (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

His disciples we baptizing on his orders, and as mentioned in Matthew 28:18;19 he

would later tell them to go and teach and baptise.

(Luke 6:40)
“THE DISCIPLE IS NOT ABOVE HIS MASTER, BUT EVERYONE THAT IS PERFECTED
SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER”

Acts 8 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹³ Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with
Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
¹⁵ Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the
Holy Ghost:
¹⁶ (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the
name of the Lord Jesus.)

— Acts 8:12 (KJV)

“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of
God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”

Revelation 22:17-19
21st Century King James Version
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let him that heareth say, “Come.”
17

And let him that is athirst come; and whosoever will, let him take the Water of Life
freely.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book:
18

If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are
written in this book.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
19

God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the Holy City, and
from the things which are written in this book.
