Effects of Technology On The Development of Pakistan
Effects of Technology On The Development of Pakistan
●
● Economic Growth. Technology has been a key driver of economic growth in many
countries. It has created new industries, improved productivity and efficiency, increased
international trade, and created new job opportunities. Technological innovations such as
the internet, e-commerce, and mobile technologies have enabled businesses to expand
their reach and increase their customer base.
● Education: Technology has transformed the way we learn and teach. Online learning,
educational apps, and digital textbooks have made education more accessible and
affordable.
● Healthcare: Technology has revolutionized healthcare by providing new treatment,
medical devices, and diagnostic tools. Medical professionals can now diagnose and treat
diseases more accurately and efficiently, resulting in better patient outcomes.
Telemedicine and remote monitoring technologies have also made healthcare more
accessible to people living in remote areas.
● Infrastructure: Technology has played a significant role in improving a country’s
infrastructure. Smart cities, intelligent transportation systems, and automated
manufacturing facilities have made transportation, energy and production more efficient
and sustainable.
● Environment: Technology has both positive and negative impacts on the environment.
● On one hand, it has helped to reduce pollution and waste through cleaner technologies (
electric cars, solar panels, wind, and wave energy.cleaner technologies are .a set of
technologies that either reduce or optimize the use of natural resources, whilst
simultaneously reducing the negative effect that technology has on the planet and

On the other hand, it has also contributed to environmental degradation through the overuse of
natural resources (Soil degradation due to improper crop rotation and crop shifting.
(ii) Drying up of fivers due to overuse of water from them through dams and reservoirs.)
and the generation of electronic waste.( E-waste
or electronic waste is created
when an electronic product is discarded after the end of its useful life.
The rapid expansion of technology and the consumption driven
society results in the creation of a very large amount of e-waste.
Examples of electronic waste include, but not limited to: TVs, computer monitors,
printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, circuit boards, lamps, clocks,
flashlight, calculators, phones, answering machines, digital/video cameras,
radios, VCRs, DVD players, MP3 and CD players
