How To Install ADDS
Hit “Windows” key on your keyboard and type “Server Manager” to search for the application.
Right-click on “Manage” on the “Server Manager” window and choose “Add Roles and
Features“. This will open the “Add Roles and Features Wizard” which ushers us to the part
where we install Active Directory Domain Services. Click on next.
The previous step will lead you to the next page as shown below. Here, you will see many
options with square checklist box against them. As you can guess, we are going to choose
“Active Directory Domain Services“.
Immediately you choose that option, a new part comes up. On the page, just click on “Add
Features” tab and hit “Next“.
On the next page after Step 6 titled “Select features“, just hit “Next” to lead you to installations
of AD DS.
As shown below, you will be presented with the next page titled “Active Directory Domain
Services“. Here, click on “Next“
The next page is about Confirming what you need to install before actually installing them,
after you installed them you’re done.
On the server manager dashboard click “Add roles and features” This will start the add
roles and features wizard.
On this page, you want to select the DHCP server roles and click next. When you select
the roll you will get a pop up asking to add features that are required for DHCP server.
Click add features.
Click install and the install will start. You will get an install progress page, it will say
install succeeded when complete.
Click Local Server in the right navigation pane. Under ROLES AND FEATURES click on TASKS and
choose Add Roles and Features
Next the wizard prompts you to verify the prerequisites have been met, click next
In next window Select Role-based or feature-based installation, and then click Next
Next check Select a server from the server pool, choose the server (the default is local server)
and then click next
Next select Print and Document Services, on the pop-up make sure Include management tools is
check, and then click Add Features
On next page Role Services choose the desire services, by default only Print Server is checked,
and then click next
Next review the selected option and click install to start the installation progress, restart the
server to complete the installation
During the installation, System will restart once automatically. After finishing installation, Click
Close button.
