SPECIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

1 SALE OF TANK AND RELATED GOODS

1.1 TANK DETAILS
Tanks are manufactured from standard panels 1220 x 1220 mm. All stays, rubber gaskets, sealants, bolts
and nuts required to assemble a watertight tank are supplied.

Cover plates to form a roof over the tank are supplied with one lockable access manhole 450 x 450 mm
with built-in screened vent per compartment.

Tanks over 1,22 m deep are supplied with one internal ladder per compartment and one external ladder.

All tanks are supplied with one level indicator per compartment. Pipe connection points are welded to the
tank plates in positions specified by the customer. Four connection points up to 150 mm NB per
compartment are included in the price.

1.2 ELEVATED TANKS

Support structures are designed to SANS 10162 by a registered professional engineer and include an access
ladder with safety cage.

Our price is based on access to all sides of the tank, by a suitable truck-mounted mobile crane being
available.

1.3 GALVANISING
Hot dipped galvanising will be in accordance with SANS 121(ISO 1461).

1.4 PAINTING
Surface preparation will be manual wire brush, unless otherwise specified in our quote.

1.5 MANUFACTURING PERIOD

Quoted delivery periods are from date of receipt of official order or all information necessary to proceed
with manufacture, whichever is the later.

1.6 CROSS BORDER TERMS

100% payment to be made in advance, failing which there needs to be either a Letter of Credit or an
Advanced Payment Guarantee in place before manufacturing can be scheduled.

1.7 STORAGE FEES

Upon completion of tank manufacture, the customer will be notified. Please note that should the customer
not take delivery within 3 months of this time, that ABECO TANKS hold the right to charge a 1% storage fee
per month for the full contract value of the tank.
2 SERVICE FOR INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY OF TANK(S)

2.1 INSTALLATION
The installation and assembly of the water tank and related goods is a service that is quoted for separately
and does not affect the transfer of the risks and rewards of the water tank that is sold.

Please note that our installation crew is neither equipped nor qualified to check that the foundations
comply with drawing requirements. When you hand over the site to us it is implied that you have verified
that foundations comply with the design requirements.

Our price excludes hoisting, except on to structures supplied and installed by us. Our price excludes
movement of materials on site, except in the immediate vicinity of the tank location.

2.2 TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

Water shall be provided free of charge to ABECO TANKS for testing purposes. Should water not be available
at the time of completion, an extra trip to site will be charged for on a cost plus basis.

3 VALIDITY
The quoted price for the sale of water tanks and related goods remains valid for acceptance for a period of
30 days from date of quotation, and is subject to change based on steel prices.

The quoted price for the installation service remains valid for acceptance for a period of 30 days from date
of quotation, and is subject to changes in exchange rate and will be subject to inflationary increases due to
delays in installation subsequent to acceptance of quotation.

4 PAYMENT
4.1 PAYMENT FOR SALE OF WATER TANK AND RELATED GOODS
Accounts due for the sale and delivery of the water tank and related goods will be invoiced and become
payable upon delivery of the tank and goods to site. No retention may be withheld for the sale of the tank
and related goods.

The water tanks and all related goods will stand as security for any amounts due to ABECO TANKS until such
time as the invoiced amount has been paid in full. Should such amounts not be paid timeously ABECO
TANKS reserves the right to repossess the tanks and related goods in full settlement of amounts due.

4.2 PAYMENT FOR SERVICES RELATING TO INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY OF TANKS

Accounts for the installation and assembly services are due in advance. Should the customer not take
delivery within 60 days of the materials being ready all additional costs incurred for transport, cranage or
assembly will be for the customers expense

5 TERMS
Credit terms may be arranged on submission and approval of a credit application form. Unless otherwise
agreed, payment must be received within 30 days of statement date.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our Standard Conditions of Contract, (a copy of which is available on
request), will apply on acceptance of our quotation.
