JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CONSTRUCTION HSE SUPERVISOR

Main Responsibilities: The Construction HSE Supervisor shall provide advice, guidance
support in the development of contractor's standards and procedures. Provide safety support
during Contractor progress meetings. Coordinate and produce HSE Plans/Bridging
documentation. Compile & submit daily /weekly /monthly reports & yearly statistical analysis
where required.

Other Responsibilities:

 Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective
HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the Project HSE objectives are met.
 Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health,
safety and environmental issues.
 Monitor & anticipate hazardous and unsafe acts or conditions.
 Perform Safety Audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment. This is to
identify and correct potential hazards and ensure safety regulations compliance
 Provide support on the implementation of contractor and project HSE initiatives e.g. ISO
45001:2018 OHS-MS
 Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Contractor policies and procedures as well
as client requirements
 Ensure training, toolbox meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s
Contractor training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.
 Take part in Investigating and completing the process for close out of all Accident Investigation
Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the HSE Manager for promulgation to the
management
 Maintain Safety Statistic reporting within the project. Track and provide regular HSE
performance reporting to the HSE manager.
 Carry out Risk analysis for specific tasks
 Prepare Work Permit as required
 Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
 Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees.
 Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
 Support project HSE personnel in the development of work site HSE campaigns and good
practices.
 Assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects as required
 Authorize to 'STOP' the work, if the SAFETY of the work and processes are at stake and not in
accordance with the project

Requirements:
 A bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or Related Field of study
 5 years’ experience in health and safety.
 HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
 Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically
 Good public speaking skills
 Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Good organization skills
 Leadership skills
