1. INTRODUCTION:
As a recent graduate student of BBA (HONS.) after the completion of my current degree
I am interested to set-up and start my own business and excel my knowledge and skills in
business field. I thought I have gained valuable knowledge and skills as a business
graduate student to set-up my own business in future.
2. STARTUP EXPENSE
For starting a business, the very first thing I will need is initial investment. I have an
initial investment of 1 million to meet my production, management and marketing
expenses. Moreover, I am thinking of seeking small business loan to start my own
business and I have also decided to approach potential investors to whom I will share my
whole business proposal and if they will be interested then I will start my business with
them on partnership basis. The actual amounts for these expenses will vary on the basis
of different demographics such as location, scale of operations and specific business
needs.

5. MARKET ANALYSIS :
The market analysis of the product shows that there is an increasing demand for reusable and
biodegradable wraps due to increasing environmental sustainability awareness. Consumers are
seeking eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics, and this product meets their needs. The
market analysis shows an increasing demand for such environmental friendly product which is
favorable market opportunity for my product as it promotes the environment friendly activity.
With the decreasing use and demand for plastic products as they are pollution causing,
biodegradable and reusable food wrap has a bright and trending future in market.
6. COMPETITION:
The main competition of reusable and biodegradable food wrap would be the other
similar products in market. These could include the options which are used as an
alternative to my product in market such as:
Reusable Silicon Food bags
Beeswax wraps
Compostable paper wraps
Traditional Plastic wraps
However, the main competition of my product are the traditional plastic wraps
which are pollution causing and these wraps become waste after one use and they
adversely affect the human health. However with the Passage of time people are
getting aware of their responsibility that what is important to them as a society
member and are getting awareness of environment and environmental pollution
causing factors and that’s why more people are shifting towards the Goo-green,
Environmental friendly and are promoting Eco-friendly activities.
7. TARGET MARKET:
The Potential target markets of my product which is reusable and biodegradable food
wraps are as follow:
Grocery Stores: From where people frequently purchase food related items and
products for their daily needs.
Specialty Stores: Such as health food stores or zero-waste stores that cater to
customers seeking eco-friendly and sustainable products.
Local Shops: Including farming markets, fruit & vegetable shops from where
people buy food related products.
Environmental conscious consumers whose prime concern is to protect their
surroundings and environment from pollution.
Health conscious individuals seeking alternatives to plastic wraps for food
storage
Sustainable businesses and cafes looking for Eco-friendly packaging options
because of increasing customer’s environmental concern.
8. MARKET SEGMENTATION :
The market segmentation for reusable and biodegradable food wrap can be categorizes based on
the consumer preferences and demographics.
9. MARKETING STRATEGY:
To promote my product and to reach potential customers in market I will adopt the
following marketing strategies for the promotion of my Product.
Social Media Platforms: Establish a website and create social media accounts
related to the product to showcase my product to potential customers in market
who may buy my product in future, share educational content about eco- friendly
environment.
Product Demonstration: Arrange/Organize online or in store product
demonstration to represent the usability, effectiveness and eco-friendly aspects of
food wraps.
Packaging & branding: The design & packaging of my product will promote
environmental friendly activity.
Customer Testimonials: Collect useful information from the customers that
whether they are satisfied with the product qualities and features.
Environmental Initiatives: Promote environmental initiatives such as plant trees
and promote Go-Green activities.
10. DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS :
The different distribution channels that I will use to reach the potential customers in
market are as follow:

Following is the survey questionnaire conducted by me that what people thought of reusable and
biodegradable food wraps. This survey is conducted from the potential and actual customers of
the product.
Following are the responses submitted by the potential customers of the product which are
willing and able to buy product.
74% of Participants from which survey was conducted were male and 26% were female.
Most of the participants (about 72%) were between 21 to 30 years of age. 24% of participants
were between the age group of 15 to 20 years.
Most of the people (about 66%) were aware of the reusable and biodegradable food wraps.
However, 34% of people don’t know and heard of reusable and biodegradable food wraps.
About 58% of the participants from which I conducted my research had used reusable and
biodegradable food wraps. On the other hand 42% of people had never used these bags before.
For most of the Participants from which I conducted my survey Food freshness and preservation
is the key factor/purpose while choosing the food storage options. Then it comes Sustainability
and Eco-friendliness, Ease of use and convenience and Cost Effectiveness which are the key
factors for choosing the food storage Options.
Most of Participants (about 82%) were consider using the reusable and biodegradable food wraps
as it is environmental friendly option.
Most of the people use Biodegradable and reusable food wraps for the preservation of Fruits and
vegetables then after it for the preservation of Sandwiches and Meats and Baked goods and
Breads respectively.
About 62 % of participants purchase food related products from Grocery stores. So, Grocery
stores will be the main target market of my product. After it, there come Specialty stores and
Local shops respectively. However, Only 2% of the participants buy food related products from
online retailers.
Most of the participants of the survey Questionnaire are willing to pay a slightly higher price for
my Biodegradable and reusable food wraps for Eco-friendly option as compared to the plastic
wraps which become waste after single use and cannot be recycled. However, 28% are willing to
pay same price as plastic wraps. Moreover, 10% of people are not willing to pay extra for Eco-
friendly option. Last but not least, only 6% of participants are willing to pay a significantly
higher price of my product due to Eco-friendly option.
About 42% of the participants strongly agree and 40% of participants agree that using reusable
and biodegradable food wraps is Eco-friendly activity and should be encouraged. However, 14%
of the responses were neutral.
Most of the Participants (about 68%) responded that they would suggest the use of these Eco-
friendly food wraps to their family and friends.
13. CONCLUSION:
Based on survey questionnaire results given above it represents that there is positive response
and potential market of my product where people are willing to buy my product because of Eco-
friendliness. There are certain factors for which customers are willing to choose my product as it
is pollution free. Moreover, this product has no environmental impact and promotes the
environmental activity. Furthermore, as compared to the plastic wraps it can be easily reused and
recycled.
Overall, the survey results revealed that there is a greater demand for my product among
potential customers in market whose prime concern is Sustainability and Eco-friendliness
because people are health conscious and are getting aware of the use and adverse effects of
plastic related products on their health and consequently on their environment. Starting business
with my product that I had decided and I am going to start has a bright future in market.
