Events
As an events officer you are responsible for organising
the internal and external events of AeroDelft. As we
are invited to many events, it is your responsibility to
maintain contact with the organisers and ensure we
can attend the event without complications.
As well, it is your task to organise internal events,
such as our summer event, keeping busy with tasks
such as booking a venue and arranging catering.
You will be in contact with the remainder of the
operations department to set everything up such as
social media coverage and partner attendance. As
well, you will have to communicate clearly with the
rest of the team as to what is expected.
Partnerships
As a partnerships officer you are responsible for
maintaining and developing the extensive partner
network of AeroDelft. This means that you will be
in contact with our partners and ensure that the
contracts are upheld.
Alongside this you develop a relationship and
strategies with them to further stimulate a healthy
collaboration. As well you communicate with the
rest of the team to frame their needs so you can
then reach out to new companies for possible
collaboration.
To achieve this you get to attend exciting events,
conferences and congresses where you can talk to
attendees to try and gain new partnerships.
Furthermore, reaching out for companies is done
through email, linkedin and phone calls.

Public Relations
As an exposure and branding officer you are
responsible for representing the AeroDelft brand.
To do so you maintain the social media profiles of
AeroDelft and produce content for these platforms
using photoshop and illustrator.
As well, you have contact with the press and are
responsible for giving out press releases and the
monthly newsletter. With all of these activities, you
must think of the AeroDelft brand, which you review
monthly to ensure it stays up to date.
Website
As a website officer you are responsible for
maintaining the AeroDelft website. This involves
keeping the website up to date and creating exciting
content to be featured on the page. You will be in
close contact with exposure and branding to make
sure the brand image of AeroDelft is maintained.
Recruitment
As a recruitment officer you will be responsible for
making and executing the recruitment strategy of
AeroDelft. This involves coming up with ideas to make
us more vivid on the TU Delft campus, contacting
lecturers for speaking opportunities and coordinating
a social media strategy with exposure and branding.

Technical Chief
As a technical chief, you will have the overview of
the specific department and are responsible for its
functioning in terms of planning and facilitating for
the engineers. You will gain experience in managing a
department while also staying involved in engineering
tasks.
Additionally, you will work closely together with the
other technical chiefs and the technical manager to
make sure the project stays on track while being in
contact with external parties.
Liquid H2 Propulsion
The Liquid Hydrogen Propulsion department is
responsible for designing and testing the various
systems directly related to the hydrogen propulsion
system of the Prototype drone and the Full-scale
aircraft. These systems include the fuel cell, fuel tank,
cryogenics, and piping.
You will work on upscaling and designing the liquid
hydrogen powertrain from the drone to the Sling
aircraft. You will also gain experience in working with
the drone and flight campaigns.
Gaseous H2 Propulsion
The Gaseous Hydrogen Propulsion department is
responsible for designing and testing the various
systems directly related to the gaseous hydrogen
propulsion system of the Full-scale aircraft. These
systems include the fuel cell, fuel tank, and piping.
You will learn how these subsystems work and gain
experience in designing and testing the components
using software such as CAD and CFD. You will also
learn about the integration of these components in
the actual aircraft.

Structures
The Structures department is responsible for the
building of the Sling 4 kit aircraft as well as the
integration of all the propulsion systems. It also
includes designing and testing new custom parts for
the aircraft. This includes the motor mount, a tank
mounting, a firewall and a ventilation system.
You will be able to learn more about CAD, CFD and
FEM software to use for designing components to
accommodate the hydrogen powertrain. You can also
expand your practical experience with 3D printers,
lathing, milling etc.
Safety Engineer
As a safety engineer, you will be part of the
Certification & Testing department with a main focus
on the safety of all the engineers during general work
hours as well as different tests. You will learn about
hydrogen and high-voltage components safety and
teach your fellow engineers about the dangers and
required safety measures. You will be responsible
for different kinds of safety documents required for
testing and certification while also being in contact
with the relevant parties about safety.
Systems Engineer
As the systems engineer, you will be responsible
for the integration of the different systems within
the Full-scale aircraft. You will work closely together
with the technical manager to manage the technical
side of the project. You will gather all the required
information from the departments and connect them
to each other on the relevant fronts while managing
the technical interfaces between the departments.
You will also be in charge of all the relevant
documentation of the performance of the Full-scale
as well as the department-specific documentation and
the set-up of plans for larger inter-departmental tests.

Team Manager Technical Manager

As the team manager you will facilitate every member
of AeroDelft in a way that enables them to reach the
highest possible goals. By acting as a connection point
between all different departments you keep a bird’s
eye view of the entire project and safeguard the long-
term vision, making sure AeroDelft’s mission is being
pursued to the fullest. Additionally, you will also be
the face of AeroDelft. Internally as well as externally.
This means that you will connect with every team
member, also taking up the role of HR. And act as a
spokesperson to the outside world, giving interviews
and attending events.
As the technical manager, you are involved with the
technical side of the project. You would be in charge
of the planning of the project as well as facilitating the
engineers in terms of resources both technical and
non-technical. You will be in close contact with the rest
of the management as well as the operations side of the
project such as the partnerships department. You will
also be in contact with relevant technical partners and
support the engineers.
