Dear Diary,

There is a war in Turkey. In Turkey, things are getting interesting. I returned to my home,

Antalya, at least I feel safe because I am with my family and we are staying at a hotel because

we live in the city center but it is dangerous so we have to hide. The army doesn't care about

anything, they kill people. We are scared. My parents decided to run away to our grandfather’s

home. We have to be quick. We are going to pack up. My brother and my sister are ready. We

are not taking technological things because it is dangerous. They can catch us. I will prepare one

small bag. I will get my clothes and sneakers. I will get some money. Anne Frank took a lot of

clothes.

February 5th, 2020

Dear Diary,

We went to my grandfather's home. This place is so boring and we can’t do anything. All

day, we chit-chat. Actually, it isn’t so bad I love my family. We don’t have food problems but

we are crowded in this home. House is enough for us. It is so big. I am a very sportive person

and I want to play basketball or soccer but here I can’t play anything. I missed doing sports. At

least, I can play board games with my family. It is fun at night. Actually, my life is better than

Anne Frank’s because I can see outside when I want and we live more comfortably. Their annex

was small.

February 8th, 2020

Dear Diary,

Things are getting worse. Nowadays, we must be so quiet. The war got bigger and the

army is destroying everywhere. We are not allowed to talk after eleven p.m. We can’t go outside

so we had food problems. It is so hard to not shout. I want to speak loudly but I can’t. If I make a

loud noise, they will find us and we are going to have trouble. I don’t want to endanger my

family. I love my family and I hope that we won’t get caught. If they caught us we would

probably be going to die. It is so serious. I don't want to be separated from my family. I believe

that we will survive from this war and we will return to our home.
