Genetic Testing

Genetic testing can have great advantages, but also a number of potential risks and
limitations. It is important to understand the advantages and risks before making a
decision. To my point of view, genetic testing is a technological advance in medicine.
since it helps to learn more about your health and possible risk for genetic diseases,
but the results in some cases may be inconclusive or uncertain.

An advantage of genetic testing is the knowledge about your health. It gives you more
information to make decisions about your health and your family's health. If all
medics had advocated using this to prevent any diseases, they would save more
lives. Remember that if you find out that you are at risk for a certain disease, you can
take steps to reduce that risk.

A disadvantage is the psychological effects, because depending on the results, you

may feel angry, depressed, anxious or guilty. If people hadn't felt bad after taking a
genetic test, more people who didn't take it before would have decided to take one for
the first time.

In conclusion, I believe that genetic testing is a great medical advance. In short, it has
a lot of advantages and disadvantages, so it’s better to be sure If you want to take a
genetic test.
