HTML REPORTS

Open the List of Leases. Click the HTML Preview button. Select the appropriate HTML
template. Next, as you move from record to record, you can HIGHLIGHT the contents
of the HTML window, and DRAG & DROP into MS-Word.

Useful HTML reports include the Lease IE6 Preview (aka a “simple” Lease Data Sheet)
and the Lease Acquisition Notice report.

PRINT ORIGINAL LEASES

1. Open your List of Leases

2. Find the lease you wish to

print.

3. Click TOOLS button in the

List of Leases window

4. Click “Lease Export to

Word”, then click OK

5. Specify the MS-Word

“Template” document to
be used in generating your
lease.

6. These we custom-program
for you, of a small fee.

7. Click OK

8. Then click FINISH

The lease is now created in MS-Word. You can now edit this document, then SAVE IT
under a DIFFERENT file name.

Always SAVE AS a different file name, otherwise you’ll be overwriting your

lease template and it will no longer work for other leases!

NOTE: We provide, as consulting service, custom programming for your lease

templates. Simply email us your lease in MS-WORD format, and we can
program our LandPro fields into it.

REPORTS – DATA SHEETS

Data Sheets are the most comprehensive reports in VLP. They are the most commonly
run report by our clients.

DS are available for Leases, Tracts, Prospects, Wells, Units, Contracts, Twn-Rng-Sec /
Surveys, Owners, Chain of Title Instruments, Properties, and more!

The MINERAL OWNERSHIP REPORT is also considered a Data Sheet.

You can specify:

1. DATA BANDS to be included, and
2. RELATIVE POSITION of each band

DS done with just one or two data bands, and WITHOUT ejecting a page before a new
record prints, is what we refer to as “Data Sheet Status Reports”.

1. e.g., a report listing all Special Provisions for leases in 1 prospect.

2. A report listing all Special Obligations only, for all leases in 1 prospect.

Printing / Previewing Data Sheets can be very slow, depending on the number of leases
you want to print. We recommend running these either one at the time, or a few at the
time

This image lists some

of the various data
sheets available in
VLP.

REPORTS –
”LEASE ACREAGE STATUS “

For LEASES not associated with Tracts.

Not much of an acreage report…

Leases should ALWAYS be linked to one or more

tracts. You should NOT run this report. Run the
LEASE ACREAGE DETAIL or SUMMARY reports
instead.

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 41

REPORTS – SUBTRACT ACREAGE

Example of Subtract Acreage

Report – by Prospect.

Note the acreage information

broker down in 3 categories:

1. Leased by Us
2. Leased by Others
3. Unleased

This report also can print with data

grouped by WELL or by UNIT.

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 42

PARTNER POSITION ACREAGE REPORT

This report is grouped

by OWNER ID. You set
the filter specific to an
owner.

It will show you the total

acreage, and the
owner’s share of
acreage.

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 43

REPORTS – MINERAL OWNERSHIP TYPE REPORTS

Can be generated in a just a few seconds.

Includes Tract Legal description and general location / acreage information, then a list
of Mineral and Surface owners.

9. Setup your tract using the Tract Add Wizard

10. If you have taken one or more leases on this tract, go ahead and set them up
using the Lease Wizard by Tract

11. Print the Mineral Ownership Report (Print/Preview / Data Sheet – Tract Min.
Ownership)

Note how in the report above the LEASEHOLD INFO for the 2nd record is blank. This is when
the record is setup as OPEN/UNLEASED.

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 44

If – on the other hand – this record is
in fact LEASED – but leased to
another party, you should go ahead
and enter that information if you do
have it available, and change the
STATUS OF THE LEASE flag in
the MINERAL OWNERSHIP
ENTRY WINDOW to “LEASED
BY OTHERS”

Example of MINERAL OWNERSHIP REPORT with an ownership record “LEASED BY

OTHERS”

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 48

REPORTS – PROSPECT NRI SUMMARY

This report will list all leases and

their corresponding tracts and
subtracts.

For each record, both ACREAGE

and LEASE BURDENS are taken
under consideration in order to
calculate, on a per-lease basis,
the LEASE NRI amount.

The LEASE NRI amount is then

included in the calculation of the
PROSPECT NRI amount, based
on the net acres weighted
average of each lease’s NRI.

LandPro 2005 Annual Conference Page 49

REPORTS – LEASE NRI STATUS

This report calculates the Lease NET REVENUE Interest decks. It creates a deck
based on different variables, such as Payout Code, Substance, Tracts, and Subtracts.

Although you will normally have as few as ONE Working Interest deck in a lease, you
will notice that multiple NRI decks will usually be listed in this report for the same lease.
For example, if a lease covers 4 tracts, but has only ONE W.I. deck setup at the lease
level, there will be FOUR NRI decks in this report – one for each tract associated with
your lease.

REPORTS - WORKING INTEREST STATUS

decks for any type of
property (Lease, Tract,

These are WI DECK

linked directly to these
properties.

Two sorting options are

available:
1. By Propery
2. By Owner

selected date range, along with their
corresponding allocation to the
various Working Interest participants.

REPORTS – INQUIRY LETTERS

Inquiry letters are letters specific to Working Interest owners.

2 requirements

1. Owner must have a Working Interest in a property (Leases, Tract, Well, etc…)

2. Owner have the “Send Reports” checkbox checked in its WI Detail record.

VLP can generate 2 types of “Inquiry Letters”. Each type, in turn, has its own different
format for whether it is addressed to the “OPERATOR” or to the “WI PARTICIPANTS”.

I. PAYMENT OBLIGATION inquiry letters (aka RENTAL Inq. Letter)

II. SPECIAL OBLIGATION inquiry letters
