3. When Anne married John Macy, who replace her?

In "The Story of My Life" by Helen Keller, after Anne Sullivan married John Macy,
Polly Thomson stepped in as Helen's constant companion and teacher. Polly Thomson,
much like Anne Sullivan, shared the experience of being visually impaired. She seamlessly
took over the role, ensuring Helen's education and growth continued uninterrupted. Polly
Thomson faithfully followed the methods of communication and instruction that Anne had
implemented. Through tactile sign language, spelling words into Helen's palm, and providing
her with an understanding of the world through touch, Polly Thomson enabled Helen to
expand her knowledge and connect with the world around her.

With Polly Thomson's guidance, Helen Keller's education flourished. Despite the
transition from Anne Sullivan to Polly Thomson, the continuity of teaching methods and the
shared understanding of their visual impairment helped maintain a seamless transition for
Helen. Polly Thomson's commitment to Helen's development made her an essential figure in
Helen's life during this period. Comparing the perspective and transcription between the
book and online resources reveals a consistent account of Polly Thomson stepping into
Anne Sullivan's role. Online resources, such as the official website of the American
Foundation for the Blind (AFB), corroborate Helen Keller's narrative by stating that Polly
Thomson became Helen's teacher and companion after Anne's marriage (AFB, n.d.).
