Explain the relevance of Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Framework in improving teachers‘
performance and skills in teaching. Why is this framework important? (20 points)

The Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Framework will help teachers to improve their performance
and skills in teaching since this framework are being planned and created by high-level education official
in southeast. This would help teachers because it would serve as their guide for effective teaching asia.
Southeast asian countries surely have a different teaching methods and strategies which I think they put
up through this framework. Same through with PPST, this would help teachers for acquiring their career
stages, however I think it is a lot more expansive since southeast asian countries are involved.

I think this framework is important because it is consist of the competencies which is relevant for
teachers. These competencies are expected to be interpreted on local context and specific needs. Thus,
this is made duly to improve teaching and give students the learning they deserve as well. The
competencies they have is way similar to the standards we have with PPST. Furthermore, if teachers are
possessing these competencies, they will produce a globally competitive students.
