RULES  OF  BACCARAT  
 
To  make  the  game  of  Baccarat  enjoyable  and  exciting,  you’ll  want  to  
learn  the  rules  of  the  game,  how  the  game  is  played  and  how  the  
different  payouts  are  delivered.  
 
The  most  important  thing  to  remember  when  learning  baccarat  is  that  
you  have  no  decision  to  make  other  than  where  you  would  like  to  place  
your  bet.    The  dealer  has  a  specific  set  of  instructions  on  how  to  deal  the  
cards  based  on  what  is  showing  and  the  dealer  must  follow  those  
instructions  precisely.  Unlike  blackjack  you  will  never  need  to  decide  
whether  to  hit  or  not  because  baccarat  never  presents  that  option.    
 

 
 
PLACING  A  BET  AND  PAYOUTS  
 
The  game  of  Baccarat  has  three  options  for  placing  a  bet:  
 
Player     Pays  out  1  chip  for  every  chip  bet  
 
Banker     Pays  out  1  chip  for  every  chip  bet  minus  a  house  rake  
 
Tie       Pays  out  8  chips  for  every  chip  bet  
 
You  can  see  the  Baccarat  table  above  has  “Player”  seat  numbers  4,  5,  6  
and  7.  If  you  believe  player  is  going  to  win  the  next  hand  you  place  your  
bet  on  the  player  circle  right  in  front  of  you.  Each  player  has  his  or  her  
own  seat  number  and  right  beyond  the  Player  circle  is  a  red  circle  that  
gives  you  the  option  to  bet  on  Banker.  Just  beyond  the  banker  option  is  
the  place  where  you  can  place  a  bet  on  tie.  When  betting  on  tie:  make  
sure  you  place  your  bet  on  the  same  seat  number  you  see  in  the  player  
spot  in  front  of  you.    If  you  are  in  seat  number  7  place  your  “tie  bet”  on  
the  number  7  in  the  tie  betting  area.    
 
Once  you  and  the  other  players  place  their  bets  the  dealer  will  begin  
dealing  the  cards  to  both  the  banker  and  player  spaces  on  the  table.  
 
The  goal  of  the  game  is  for  the  player  or  banker  hand  that  is  closest  to  a  
score  of  9  wins.  In  Baccarat,  face  cards  (King,  Queen,  Jack)  and  10’s  have  
a  score  value  of  zero.  An  Ace  is  always  scored  as  one  point  and  all  other  
cards  in  the  deck  are  scored  at  face  value.  
 
The  highest  total  score  you  can  get  in  baccarat  is  9.  When  the  apparent  
total  of  the  hand  exceeds  9,  the  score  is  adjusted.  The  score  is  always  
adjusted  by,  subtracting  10  from  the  total  amount  shown.  Example  11  
minus  10  gives  the  total  score  of  1  and  another  example,  15  minus  10  
gives  a  total  score  of  5.  Whoever  (Player  or  Banker)  has  the  highest  
score  closest  to  9  wins  the  hand  and  the  process  starts  all  over.  If  there  
is  a  tie  and  you  bet  on  player  or  banker  it  is  a  push  and  you  neither  win  
nor  lose.  
 
Example:  
 
Player  is  dealt  a  7  +  8  =  15.  Subtracting  10  gives  you  a  total  of  5.  Now,  if  
you  get  a  draw  card  of  4,  you  have  a  total  of  9,  which  is  the  highest  score

THE  RULES  THAT  THE  DEALER  MUST  FOLLOW  
 
WHEN  DEALING  TO  PLAYER  
 
STANDING  RULE:  When  the  two-­‐card  total  is  6  or  higher  then  the  Player  
always  stands  and  the  dealer  does  not  deal  any  more  cards  to  the  
Player.  
 
DRAWING  RULE:  When  the  initial  two-­‐card  total  is  0-­‐5  then  the  dealer  
must  draw  a  third  card  for  the  Player.  
 
 
WHEN  DEALING  TO  THE  BANKER  
 
DRAWING  RULE:  When  the  first  two-­‐card  total  is  0-­‐2  then  the  dealer  
must  draw  a  third  card  for  the  Banker.  Anytime  a  third  card  is  not  
drawn  for  the  Player,  the  dealer  must  draw  another  card  for  the  Banker  
when  the  Banker  has  a  score  of  0-­‐5.  When  the  Banker  has  a  two-­‐card  
total  of  7  or  higher  the  Banker  must  stand  and  the  Dealer  does  not  draw  
any  more  cards  for  the  Banker.  
 
When  the  banker’s  two-­‐card  score  is  3,  the  dealer  draws  the  Banker  a  
third  card  if  player’s  third  card  is  anything  other  than  an  8.  
 
When  the  banker’s  two-­‐card  score  is  4,  the  dealer  draws  the  Banker  a  
third  card  if  player’s  third  card  is  2-­‐7.  
 
When  the  Banker  has  a  two-­‐card  score  of  5  the  dealer  must  draw  a  third  
card  for  Banker  if  the  Player’s  third  card  is  a  4-­‐7.    
 
When  the  Bankers  two-­‐card  score  is  6,  the  dealer  draws  a  third  card  for  
the  Banker  if  the  Player’s  third  card  is  either  a  6  or  a  7.    
 
When  both  the  Banker  and  the  Players  score  total  is  the  same  the  hand  
ends  in  a  tie.  In  a  tie  you  neither  win  nor  lose  and  your  initial  bet  is  
returned.    If  you  placed  a  bet  on  the  “Tie”  betting  area  you  will  be  paid  
out  8  chips  for  every  chip  you  bet.    
 
 
Exceptions  to  the  Draw  Card  Rules  
If  either  Banker  or  Player  has  a  score  of  8  or  9  it  is  called  a  “natural.”  
The  dealer  will  not  draw  any  more  cards  and  the  hand  is  finished  with  
the  winning  hand  being  the  hand  with  the  highest  score.

other  strategies  as  it  is  primarily  designed  to  show  customers  what  our  
strategies  look  like  before  they  make  a  purchase.    
 
 
 
QUICK  OVERVIEW  OF  SILVER  BEAR  BACCARAT  STRATEGY  
 
The  premise  of  the  Silver  Bear  Baccarat  Strategy  is  to  take  advantage  of  
what  happens  after  a  streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  occur  during  play.  
Streaks  of  (4)  four  on  Banker  or  Player  occur  roughly  1-­‐2  times  every  
(30)  thirty  hands  that  are  dealt.  After  a  streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  ends  
the  next  several  hands  (roughly  8-­‐10)  are  usually  very  choppy.  When  
we  say  choppy  we  mean  that  the  winning  hands  being  dealt  is  back  and  
forth  between  Player  and  Banker.  When  the  winning  hands  on  the  table  
are  choppy,  play  can  be  extremely  profitable  until  the  next  streak  of  (4)  
four  or  more  occurs.  When  you  buy  in  at  the  table  wait  for  the  first  
streak  of  (4)  or  more  occurs  and  once  it  ends  play  only  the  next  8-­‐10  
hands  that  are  dealt.

 OVERVIEW  OF  SILVER  BEAR  BACCARAT

BUY-­IN  
The  buy-­‐in  requirement  for  Silver  Bear  Baccarat  is  either  26  or  37  chips  
depending  on  the  speed  of  play  you  choose  (see  below).  Keep  in  mind  
you  can  play  with  any  chip  denomination  ($5,  $10,  $25,  $100).    
 
BANKROLL  
We  have  found  this  strategy  to  be  most  successful  with  (4)  buy-­‐ins  for  a  
total  Bankroll  of  either  104  or  148  chips  again  depending  on  the  speed  
of  play  you  choose.  
 
MODES  OF  PLAY  
 
1.)  Attack  Mode  (bet  mode)  
2.)  Defense  Mode  (wait  mode)  
 
SPEEDS  OF  PLAY  
In  Silver  Bear  Baccarat  there  are  three  speeds  of  play:    
1.)  CONSERVATIVE   1-­‐3-­‐7-­‐15     (26  chip  buy-­‐in  104  chip  bankroll)  
2.)  AGGRESSIVE     1-­‐4-­‐10-­‐22   (37  chip  buy-­‐in  148  chip  bankroll)  
 
When  you  are  in  the  Defensive  Mode,  you  are  waiting  for  a  streak  of  (4)  
four  to  appear  on  either  Banker  or  Player  before  you  begin  play.  When  
you  are  in  the  Offensive  Mode,  you  are  betting  using  one  of  the  speeds  of  
play  betting  sequences  outlined  in  the  strategy.    
 
TRACKING  SYSTEM  
The  Tracking  System  for  Silver  Bear  Baccarat  is  simple  to  understand  
and  it  allows  you  to  keep  track  of  your  profits.  
 
EXIT  STRATEGY  
Like  all  of  our  strategies  we  use  the  “Milestone  Exit  Strategy”  allows  you  
to  keep  moving  your  “cash  out  point”,  higher  and  higher  if  you  keep  
hitting  new  milestones.  This  is  the  MOST  important  part  of  the  strategy  
because  it  allows  you  to  walk  away  from  the  table  a  winner  by  
preserving  your  profits.    
5  RULES  OF  SILVER  BEAR  BACCARAT  
 
1.)  Start  play  near  the  beginning  of  a  shoe  at  any  Baccarat  table  with  
your  50-­‐chip  buy-­‐in.  Wait  for  the  first  hand  to  be  dealt  and  then  bet  
opposite  to  what  just  happened.  If  in  the  first  hand  the  Player  won  you  
will  begin  play  by  betting  on  Banker.  If  in  the  first  hand  Banker  won  you  
will  begin  play  by  betting  Player.    
 
2.)  At  the  beginning  you  will  continue  play  for  only  the  first  6-­‐8  hands.  
When  you  have  a  winning  hand  on  the  6th,  7th  or  8th  hand  you  will  go  
into  defensive  mode  until  a  streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  occurs.    Once  the  
streak  of  4  or  more  ends  you  will  continue  play  for  the  next  8-­‐10  hands.  
When  you  have  a  winning  hand  on  either  the  8th,  9th  or  10th  hand  you  
will  discontinue  play  and  go  into  defensive  mode  waiting  for  the  next  
streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  to  occur.  
 
3.)  You  will  continue  play  following  the  betting  sequences  and  patterns  
as  outlined.  Review  the  Milestone  Exit  Strategy  to  know  when  to  walk  
away  after  winning  and  hitting  certain  chip  milestones.    If  you  exhaust  
your  first  buy  in,  wait  to  begin  play  by  betting  opposite  of  the  next  
streak  of  4.  
 
OFFENSIVE  MODE  RULES  
4.)  When  playing  in  the  Offensive  Mode  you  will  use  one  of  the  following  
betting  sequences  depending  on  how  aggressive  you  want  to  be.    
 
CONSERVATIVE   1-­‐3-­‐7-­‐15     (26  chip  buy-­‐in  104  chip  bankroll)  
AGGRESSIVE     1-­‐4-­‐10-­‐22   (37  chip  buy-­‐in  148  chip  bankroll)  
 
WHERE  TO  PLACE  YOUR  BETS  IN  OFFENSIVE  MODE  
5.)  You  will  always  bet  based  on  what  happened  last.  That  is,  if  the  
Banker  won,  you  bet  Player.  If  Player  won,  you  bet  Banker.  Streaks  
happen  a  lot  in  Baccarat  and  the  Silver  Bear  betting  strategy  allows  you  
to  take  advantage  of  those  streaks.  With  this  strategy  we  want  to  avoid  
the  streaks  of  (4)  four  Banker  or  Player  and  take  advantage  of  the  
choppy  streaks  that  commonly  occur  in  between  the  others.  Wait  for  the  
streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  to  end  and  bet  opposite  of  the  hand  that  
ended  the  streak.    
 
OFFENSIVE  MODE  EXAMPLE:    
This  example  will  display  the  Conservative  sequence:  1-­‐3-­‐7-­‐15  
 
Let’s  say  a  streak  of  (4)  or  more  occurred  on  Player  and  the  last  hand  
dealt  was  Banker  ending  the  streak.    
 
You  start  out  play  by  betting  1  chip  on  player  and  if  you  win  that  initial  
bet,  your  next  bet  will  be  on  banker  with  1  chip  insinuating  that  choppy  
hands  will  continue  to  be  dealt.  
 
If  you  lose  the  first  hand  you  will  continue  to  bet  on  Player  but  now  
progressing  to  a  3-­‐chip  bet.    
 
If  you  win  the  first  hand  your  next  bet  will  switch  to  Banker  but  starting  
the  sequence  over  at  a  1-­‐chip  bet  again.  
 
If  you  lose  the  second  hand  you  will  continue  to  bet  on  Player  but  now  
progressing  to  a  7-­‐chip  bet.    
 
If  you  win  the  second  hand  your  next  bet  will  switch  to  Banker  but  
starting  the  sequence  over  at  a  1-­‐chip  bet  again.  
 
If  you  lose  the  third  hand  you  will  continue  to  bet  on  Player  but  now  
progressing  to  a  15-­‐chip  bet.    
 
If  you  win  the  third  hand  your  next  bet  will  switch  to  Banker  but  
starting  the  sequence  over  at  a  1-­‐chip  bet  again.  
 
If  you  lose  the  fourth  hand  this  means  you  just  got  trapped  in  another  
streak  of  (4)  or  more  and  it  is  time  to  discontinue  play  until  the  streak  
ends  again.  Your  next  play  will  begin  with  a  1-­‐chip  bet  starting  the  
sequence  over  again.

HIGHLIGHTS  OF  OFFENSIVE  MODE  
 
The  beauty  of  this  strategy  is  that  streaks  of  (4)  or  more  only  occur  1-­‐2  
times  every  30  hands.  If  you  use  the  betting  sequences  in  between  the  
streaks  you  can  win  consistently.  Even  if  you  lose  3  hands  in  a  row,  you  
win  everything  you  have  lost,  plus  a  profit  on  the  fourth  hand.    
REMEMBER:    Stop  play  after  8-­‐10  hands  after  the  streak  ends  to  avoid  
the  next  streak  of  (4)  or  more.  
 
DEFENSIVE  MODE  
6.)  Defense  mode  is  much  simpler.  Defensive  mode  is  simply  waiting  for  
a  streak  of  (4)  four  or  more  on  Banker  or  Player  to  occur  and  end.    
 
Defensive  mode  occurs  on  a  few  occasions.  At  the  very  beginning  of  play  
you  will  go  into  defensive  mode  after  winning  on  either  the  6th,  7th  or  8th  
hand.  You  will  remain  in  defense  mode  until  the  first  streak  of  (4)  four  
or  more  occurs  and  ends.  
 
The  next  defensive  mode  will  occur  when  one  of  the  following  occur:  
 
(a) If  you  get  caught  in  a  streak  of  (4)  you  will  begin  defensive  
mode  until  the  streak  ends.  
(b) If  you  play  8-­‐10  hands  after  the  first  streak,  you  will  begin

TRACKING  SYSTEM    
 
The  tracking  system  is  simple  to  implement  and  helps  keeps  track  of  
when  to  exit  the  game  a  winner.  The  tracking  system  keeps  your  buy-­‐in  
separate  from  your  winnings  to  keep  track  of  your  profit.    
 
SEPERATING  THE  CHIPS  IN  STACKS  
When  implementing  the  tracking  system  you  will  sit  at  the  table  with  
your  buy-­‐in  in  one  pile  off  to  the  left  and  your  profit  pile  off  to  your  
right.    When  playing  the  Conservative  Speed  of  Play  you  will  always  
keep  4  stacks  of  chips  on  your  left  consisting  of  the  1,  3,  7  and  15  chips  
that  you  will  use  in  the  betting  progression.  You  will  keep  your  profit  
pile  on  your  right.  Your  profit  pile  will  be  used  for  the  tracking  system.    
 
*  When  playing  the  Aggressive  Speed  of  Play  you  use  stacks  of  1,  4,  10  
and  22  on  your  left  and  the  profit  pile  on  the  right.

If  you  are  continuing  to  win  all  future  milestones  will  continue  to  rise  by

and  then  dip  below  it  by  1-­‐chip  this  is  where  you  exit  the  session  and  
walk  away  a  winner.  
  
Daddy  Fat  Stacks  12  Rules  for  Gambling  
 
1.)  No  alcohol  at  any  time  before  or  during  play    
 
2.)  Don’t  play  tired    
 
3.)  Concentrate  strictly  on  your  scorecard  and  bets    
 
4.)  Never  allow  your  self  to  be  distracted  by  other  players  
 
5.)  Be  pleasant  to  the  dealer.  Don’t  be  rude.    
 
6.)  No  need  to  rush  to  play.  Take  your  time.  Get  your  bearings.    
 
7.)  Cash  in  after  each  shoe.  What  I  do  is,  walk  to  the  cashier’s  cage,  
exchange  my  chips  for  cash,  and  then  keep  an  accurate  written  record  of  
my  results.      
 
8.)  Take  a  small  break  between  shoes  to  attend  to  any  physical  needs.    
 
9.)  Never  turn  a  winning  day  into  a  losing  day.  A  win  of  $100  is  better  
than  a  loss  of  $100.    
 
10.)  Play  within  what  I’ve  always  called  your  “comfort  zone”.  If  a  bet  of  
$50  makes  you  uncomfortable,  especially  because  you  may  have  lost  it  a  
few  times,  back  down  to  a  smaller  minimum  bet  until  you  get  used  to  
always  making  those  larger  bets  when  called  for.    
 
11.)  Keep  playing  if  you  want  from  shoe  to  shoe  as  long  as  you  are
