Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of the three types of web developers, traits and skills, and the
career opportunities, challenges, and working environment and conditions.

Performance Standard
The learner creates a presentation and assess oneself and determine whether if you have the traits and
skills of a good web developer.

The learner becomes self-reflective in assessing oneself of the traits and skills of a good web
developer.

Essential Question:
1. What are the three types of web developers?
2. Why is it important to develop certain characteristics and skills to be a good web developer?

Enduring Understanding:
1. They are divided into 3 main types—the front-end developers, backend developers, and full stack
developers.
2. To succeed, one must possess and develop certain characteristics and skills necessary in this field.
Undergoing on trainings is also helpful. Similar to other fields, working in web development has also its
ups and downs.

1. Introduction
Web developers refer to people who either take or create a web design then turn it into website.
They are responsible for the code of websites and web-based services.
In this module, you will learn the responsibilities of a web developer, what skills and education
are needed, different career opportunities and challenges, and the working environment and conditions.
It will help you assess oneself and determine whether if you have the traits and skills of a good web
developer.
At the end of this module, you are expected to:
1. differentiate the three types of web developers.
2. identify the skills and traits of a good web developer
3. determine the career’s opportunities and challenges and challenges
4. describe their working environment and conditions.
