ABOUT THE ARTIST

The Musicgear Manila Soloists was founded in 2020 during Musicgear Manila’s Seventh Anniversary.
Despite having their debut during the pandemic, their performances were well received by audiences
and fellow musicians across the globe.

Musicgear Manila (MGM) is a music store catering to orchestral instruments and accessories. The store
specializes in winds and percussion needs, carrying top international brands in the market. As MGM
celebrated its 7th Anniversary, they introduced Musicgear Manila Soloists (MGM SOLOISTS) namely,
Rosemarie Poblete (flute), John Peter Bautista(oboe), Ariel Sta.Ana (clarinet), Ernani Pascual (French
horn), Frenvee Andra (bassoon).

Musicgear Manila Soloists’ three-part video debut garnered thousands of views across Facebook for a
having a unique treatment for the video. The Soloists performed on the lakeshore of Taal, featuring the
scenic view of the iconic Taal Volcano in the background. The production and performance were
featured by veteran journalist, Howie Severino in an article on GMA News Online entitled “On a volcanic
lakeshore, music come es alive again.” MGM Soloists essayed the wind quintets of Anton Reicha at
Manila Pianos Artist Series last August 6, 2022.

The soloists are also members of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), the county’s premiere
orchestra and recognized as one of the top ensembles in the Asia – Pacific. As members of the PPO, the
soloists have collaborated with various virtuosos, here and abroad. They have played under the baton of
Yoshikazu Fukumura, David Gomez Ramirez, Michael Cousteau, Herminigildo Ranera, Gerard Salonga,
and Ryan Cayabyab.
Aside from being resident players in the PPO, some of the Soloists are also members of the academe of
Philippine High School for the Arts.

The Musicgear Manila Soloists are solely dedicated to performing repertoires quintessential for winds.
