AVEVA E3D Insight is a new Windows 8.1 app that allows direct access to real time AVEVA
Everything3D™ (AVEVA E3D™) design information for maximum project efficiency and
collaboration.

AVEVA E3D Insight streamlines the reviewing and approval of design content by recapturing
the time that is lost when senior decision makers are not available: The decision-maker is
now able to check and approve designs outside of the office via their tablet computer.

Features of AVEVA E3D Insight

AVEVA E3D Insight allows teams to visualise, inspect, comment upon and approve designs
wherever they are in the world in a seamless and timely manner.

Visualise

AVEVA E3D Insight allows the user to connect via a network to an up to date view of an
AVEVA E3D model of the plant design on their Windows 8.1 touch enabled mobile tablet,
rendered with the latest in graphics technology. AVEVA E3D Insight enables:

 Access to plant design from anywhere, at any time

 Access to many projects
 Searches across any of the plant designs
 Visualisation in crystal clear 3D

Inspect

With a few swipes, the user can zoom in and out, and rotate the AVEVA E3D model for a
better understanding of the layout and space allocation. With the press of a finger, the
AVEVA E3D Insight app allows users to:

 Call up attributes for specific objects in the design, direct from the design database
 Measure distances within the model to check object positioning

Comment

Users have the ability to summon a comment box against the object of interest to make
notes which are shared across the design team. AVEVA E3D Insight empowers teams to:

 Collaborate with colleagues

 Comment on the design in threaded discussions with attached screen shots if
needed
 Store comments within the design model

Approve

To support a seamless design and approvals process, AVEVA E3D Insight allows lead
engineers and approval teams to:
