SONOHEAT
Applications
Firmware versions earlier than 2.12 have 18 months for automatic monthly readings for:
• Energy
• Volume
• MD power
• MD flow
Tariffication
Additional tariff registers allow energy to be recorded in a separate register upon preset
criteria being met.
For heat/cool applications the heat energy is recorded in one register and the cooling
energy recorded in a separate register upon the measurered temperature falling below
a threshold of 18°C (default). The sum of these two registers equals the total energy
consumed.
In all these cases, the main register always registers the total energy consumed while
the tariff register only indicates the energy consumed during the time the tariff threshold
was breached (the total register increments in parallel with the tariff register).

The 16-digit type designation specifies the heat meter completely. In special cases
(such as cooling application), order number supplements (ATGs) are necessary. See
the Basic Documentation for the complete guide to order code creation.

As defined in the EN 1434 standard for energy meters, the main flow points to consider
when selecting a flow tube are as follows:
Please note that a correctly ordered meter will be supplied complete with sensors and
modules etc. The following sections are for selecting spares, replacement parts and
modules for retro-fitting already installed meters.

General information • All 2WR5 meters are certified to EN 1434 based on the data and limit values listed
below
• The applications are always determined by the most unfavorable data of the individ-
ual component (e.g. temperature range of temperature sensors or working range of
the meter)
•
Flow measurement All 2WR5 meters satisfy the measurement accuracy requirements of class 2 to
EN 1434.

Combi module CL + With the combi modules, both the functions of the pulse module ( terminals 16, 17, 18 )
pulses and of the CL modules ( terminals 19, 20, 21 ) are implemented at the same time. It is
important to note that the reference potentials 17, 19 are assigned to a common termi-
nal.

Combi module M-bus The combi module M-bus plus (M-bus+pulses) is used if data of the 2WR5 heat meter
+ pulses is processed in a master-capable M-bus unit and at the same time pulses are to be
transmitted to systems or district heating controllers for limitation and closed-loop con-
trol.
Modem The analogue modem allows for reading the meter data and setting of meter date and
time. It can be called as well as call itself a settable number at settable times
The modem takes its energy from the telephone network. It does not use any battery or
accumulator and is therefore maintenance free. It can operate in parallel to an ana-
logue telephone. With password protection for readout and administration.
A call back number and 10 call back times or one call back interval can be set.
