1. Who initiated WYD?


- Santo Paus Yohanes Paulus II first thought of this idea, and it was
eventually executed in December 1985.
2. What is the purpose of World Catholic Youth Day?
- The main aim of World Catholic Youth Day is to strengthen the faith
of Church followers. Additionally, it strives to foster stronger
connections and relationships among all the participants. Moreover,
the event serves as a platform for sharing thoughts and insights,
contributing to the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
3. What is done during the world meeting of youth Catholics?
- During WYD participants visit the host country, perform community
services, visit the diocese, and take part in various celebrations.
There are seminars, and catechetical meetings, ending with a papal
mass presided over by Holy Father or Pope.
4. What is Pope Francis' message to young Catholics worldwide?
- The Pope talked about the Sunday Gospel theme, saying Jesus
meant the Scripture is true now. He said we must take care of the
world because God is close and real. He told us not to wait around
but to chase our dreams together, especially young and old. Love
and working for a purpose are important. The Pope said Jesus is
always important and not temporary, and we shouldn't be scared
or alone. Life is a journey to live and share, and we're God's gift in
the present, not just about time.
5. What does the nature of the unity of the Church mean in this
worldwide meeting of young Catholics?
- The unity of the Church is demonstrated through the gathering of
young people and Catholics in Panama, who come together in the
name of shared faith, hope, and love. This fellowship represents the
united nature of the Church.

1) Explain the one Church from various perspectives!


- According to the origins, The Church believes that the unity of one God is
in three persons which are: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Church, according to the founder believes that Jesus became human
and brought everyone back to God, who also made all the people come
together as one nation and one body.

The Church, according to the soul believes that the Holy Spirit, who lives
in the hearts of people, fulfills and guides the Church to unite them all.
2) What does the unity of the Church mean according to the
Catechism of the Catholic Church?
- "Really secret miracle! One is the Father of all, also one is the Logos of all
things, and the Holy Spirit is one and the same everywhere, and also
there is only one Virgin Mother; I love him and named her the Church”
(Clement of Alexandria, passed. 1,6,42; CCC 813)
3) What ties exist in the unity of the Catholic Church?
- The connection of unity that comes from sharing the same beliefs, is
passed down by the apostles. Sharing in worship and sacraments, along
with the continuation of apostolic leadership through ordination, confirms
our bond as a family in God.
4) What are some of the wounds of unity in the course of the Church's life?
- The wounds of unity have been shown and discovered ever since the early
stages which can be spotted as conflicts that can result in severe
punishment from the law.
